Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

This small cheese shop is extremely popular among local residents.
We visited here the week before Christmas after seeing a video on YouTube. Small little shop but full of every cheese imaginable. They were very helpful we bought Her handmade Fountainblue cheese that was divine... so much so that we had to go back and get more to bring home! Will definitely go back next time in Paris.

This famous taxidermy shop has been in operation since the mid-19th century.
I had heard about this place before our trip on several "Paris hidden gems" online lists so I told my family we were going. They were skeptical to say the least. But after we got home, this is one of the places they had to tell everyone about. It was SO cool. Downstairs is a rather unassuming gardening shop, though my husband almost bought a cool vest. Upstairs is where the magic is - hundreds of taxidermied critters: insects to mammals. It's so neat to be able to see animals so up close, and so hard not to pet them! My daughter now wants her own stuffed fox for home. This is probably not a place for very small children. I don't think I would have been able to keep my kid from touching everything when she was a toddler. But for kids (and adults) with a little self control, you should definitely go.

RICHART chocolate boutiques are a pleasure haven where you will find gourmet chocolate, French macarons and plenty of other gift ideas. Our boutiques are a true reflection of our motto: more pleasure through better tasting.
Brigitte and Alice Vermelin, mother and daughter, produce French embroidered household linen (sheets, duvet covers, placemats, tablecloths...) They also sell beautiful china and gifts. Come to visite this sweet shop on the heart of the 7th arrondissement in Paris, close to the famous area of St. Germain des prés
