La Grange du Parfumeur

One of the few fragrance houses in the world based on the arts. Formulating and manufacturing in one place, it offers a unique olfactory experience through the art of perfume and presents the world of composition of the in-house perfumer and cofounder, including the explanation of her organ and the lab. Signature and unisex perfume, it is composed, manufactured and bottled on site by hand, in order to sublimate the most beautiful moments of the everyday life.

This is truly an oasis of tranquility and beauty. La Grange du Parfumeur is a treasure....nestled in the Eastern Townships, it is a fragrance house that develops and sells its one-of-a kind scents on site. Alexandria and Eric facilitate your experience at La Grange - but they are not salespersons.....they are true artists. With the advent of COVID-19, they had to pivot - to change the way they operated. Over the spring they have developed a garden where visitors sit among flowers and overhanging trees, soft music plays, and they have a tranquil, and one-of-kind opportunity to enjoy these gorgeous scents in an outdoor sanctuary. Alexandria and Eric are kind and charming people, devoted to their art and committed to creating a special experience for their visitors. My husband and I have travelled there from Ontario two summers in a row and it is not too be missed. Beyond the experience itself, the scents are unlike any other. They reflect the stories and journey that Alexandria takes to create them (......and people consistently compliment them whenever we put them on!) Treat yourself to a beautiful visit and a keepsake to enjoy each day, ever after.

Marche de la Gare

Reviewed By debrakgrose - Port Perry, Canada

Sherbrooke's former train station has been converted into a fantastic market ~ Marché de la Gare. It features an indoor area with four specialty food businesses - Fromagerie de la Gare, cheesemonger; La Boucherie du Terroir, Butcher shop; Savo, Gourmet coffees and gelato; William J. Walter, Sausage-maker. Who could resist freshly baked baguettes, croissants right beside all those delectable cheeses. I certainly couldn't it was Heaven! Outside the Marché de la Gare, was their Marché de Noël du Marché de la Gare - Outdoor Christmas market! We did Christmas shopping and making merry with mulled wine, Great way to shop! You can ride the giant Ferris wheel, visit Pere Noël or twirl around the outdoor skating rink or simply walk along the many paths! It was a fabulous way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Sherbrooke!
