Reasonably priced vintage home furnishings brought in truckloads of new inventory every Wednesday to be displayed, photographed and put on the website and ready for sale when the doors open each Thursday. 'He who hesitates is lost' when shopping at Miss Pixie's, most items move out by the end of each week. All items are in good to excellent shape and ready to use. Everything from victorian to yesterday with a bit of midcentury and shabby chic thrown in, we have it all. We always have farm tables, bookshelves, beds, upholstered pieces, dressers, garden furniture, original artwork, great lighting, fun serving pieces, ceramics and silverplate and textiles.....come check out all the fun goodies and we always have homebaked chocolate chip cookies in the house to give you energy to SHOP!
Miss Pixie’s is top of my list of shops when I visit D.C. Living in England, I can’t shop for furniture there, but I am doing well with other items! The shop inventory is so interesting and I am in my happy place while browsing! I’ll be back in 2020!

Modern, Smart, Unusual Fashion for Modern, Smart, Unusual Women. LiLi The First is home for about 25 independent designers from around the world. Each one of the designers, just like our customers (aka First Ladies), is a completely different opera, from classic to drama with everything in between and we love them all equally! We are proud to provide women the power to decide what to wear and not who to wear.

Visited to hear an author speak about newly published book (about female domestic terrorists in the 1980’s). Great venue and experience. The audience questions were interesting, intelligent, and inquisitive. Overall a very enjoyable afternoon and experience. The bookstore is world renowned for hosting famous and significant authors and speakers. Definitely worth the trip up Connecticut Ave to visit this iconic bookstore. Makes one feel hopeful about the future of the world, politics, the US, and retails stores.
