Socks We Love

Reviewed By Magilune-travels

I stumbled across this shop and found a wonderland of hosiery dreams come true. Good quality items, lots of choices (bonus points for all of the dog socks, especially non pug ones) and the most wonderful customer service from the owner who spoke great English and was so easy to talk to. She told me I wasn't obliged to buy anything but I took no notice of that because I was on a mission to find some great pairs of socks. Prices for most of the items seems expensive but then take into account that most of the stock are not ones you will find on the high street and they are made in France. You are paying for quality and you can spend a long time browsing with people or just on your own. So worth visiting if you're a hosiery obsessive and so worth buying even 1 pair of socks from this place

Hester van Eeghen

Reviewed By Symmesgirl - Cincinnati, United States

My husband and I were walking in Amsterdam several times on one street. I saw a number of beautiful brightly colored purses in the window. Finally one time I said let's walk on the other side of the street so I could look at the window and into the shop. It's a small shop. All the leather goods are designed by Hester and made in Italy. These aren't cheap leather goods but they are so unique and depending upon what you buy cheaper than most other designer goods. I asked the women employee and she said that there is only one store in New York that carries some of her goods. I won't be seeing my purse on everyone's shoulder. I see people carrying more expensive designer bags but there are so many of them that you tend to forget how much they cost. I'd rather have a very nice bag that no one else will be using. I loved the bightly colored bags but I bought a black purse trimmed in red that can be carried as a clutch and also comes with a strap. Her store that I went to isn't the one listed here. It was on Nieuwe Spiegelstraat near Vanroselen chocolate shop.
