If you're interested in England’s Royalty past and present, this is the tour for you. We start in the centre of London and meander past the outside of both St James’ and Buckingham Palaces which have been at the heart of many Royal events for centuries. If it is scheduled to take place on the day of your tour, we will watch parts of the ancient ceremony of the Changing of the Guard before walking through leafy St James’ Park to reach Horse Guards. This remains the official entrance to both palaces to this day. After lunch, we travel by train from London’s Waterloo station to Hampton Court where we explore Henry VIII’s Tudor palace and William III’s Baroque palace. We’ll marvel at Henry’s vast kitchens, his magnificent Great Hall and the eerie Haunted Gallery before admiring William’s impressive display of weaponry and his art collection. We return to London by train. The tour lasts approximately 8 hours.
Inclusions: Professional guide, Private tour
Exclusions: Entry ticket to Hampton Court Palace, Food and drinks, Lunch, Gratuities, Transportation to/from attractions and the return train from London Waterloo station to Hampton Court
Sandy gave my husband and I a 3-hour personal tour of Hampton Court Palace and she was fabulous! She is super friendly, engaging and made us feel comfortable right from the start. She tailored the tour to our interests - it was extremely informative and entertaining! She was happy to answer our questions and shared lots of details / stories we wouldn’t have learned on a self-guided tour. We had to reschedule our tour multiple times due to unforeseen circumstances but she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. Going beyond the tour, Sandy shared plenty of travel tips, recommendations and provided directions on how to get to and from Hampton Court from our hotel. We hope to book her for more tours on our next trip to London! Highly recommended! Thanks so much, Sandy!

We'll travel through a thousand years of history, meeting kings, body snatchers, Charles Dickens, an eighteenth century ghost, and William Wallace (and learn how he was in no fit state to shout "Freeeedoooommmm!" whilst being executed!) On our walking tour we'll visit the areas around Smithfield, for centuries London's site of both animal and human slaughter. We'll learn about how the city disposed of the tens of thousands of Black Death corpses in the fourteenth century, the execution methods used in the Middle Ages, and how the area became a notorious slum which Dickens used as the setting for Oliver Twist. The walking tour begins outside Barbican Station, ends near to Farringdon Station, and will take around two hours. Total distance is about two miles. PLEASE NOTE: TripAdvisor charges a very high commission rate, and tickets can be purchased much cheaper through my own website.

We had a last minute trip to London and had a voucher to use which covered a number of walking tours. George responded to all communications really quickly and so we booked with him. George was very prompt for the meet up and it turned out we were the only people on the tour (not many tourists in London at the moment!) Great tour, learnt lots, saw bits of London we'd never seen before and all disagreed at the end who the ripper was! Our teenagers felt he checked their understanding without being condescending in any way. Will book another tour next visit!

This is the Original Aldgate East Jack the Ripper tour that has been operating nightly since 1982. Our start point means that, within seconds of setting out, you are exploring the cobbled alleys and atmospheric old streets that have changed little since Jack the Ripper prowled their shadows. Our guides, Richard Jones, John Bennett, Philip Hutchinson, Angie Norman, Lindsay Siviter and Mark Ubsdell are experts on the case and have between them written more than ten acclaimed books on the Jack The Ripper mystery. They are able to present you with a detailed account of the crimes that shook the world in 1888. However, they present those facts in a dramatic and entertaining fashion that is both entertaining and inspiring, and which helps bring the history of the crimes to vivid life. From the start, it is as though you are a part of the Victorian police investigation, as you sift the evidence, examine the facts, and debate the crimes and arrive at your own conclusions.
Inclusions: Expert Guides Who Will Bring The Story To Life, Original Photographs Of The Locations As They Were At The Time Of The Murders., The Opportunity To Ask Questions And Discuss The Case With Your Guide And Fellow Participants., You Will Be Able To Peruse Police And Press Reports About The Crimes.

Perla was brilliant and right from the start was very welcoming of everyone who attended. She was enthusiastic and the compilation of the visuals was very relevant. She told great stories and kept the whole event alive and vibrant throughout. I learned a lot and Perla also gave some great recommendations for films to watch that related to the topic.
