Hollywood beckons to tourists who long for a brush with Tinseltown glamor. Tour movie studios, slip your hands into the famous prints at the TCL Chinese Theatre, or indulge in a celeb sighting at one of LA’s white-hot nightspots. Spot your favorite star while shopping at The Grove, or forget all about the famous eye candy as you take in the iconic artwork at The Getty Center. For a different type of star-gazing, peek through the telescopes at the Griffith Observatory.

There are quite a few things to do in Exposition Park from the Natural History Museum, to the African History Museum to the gardens. You can easily spend 1/2 day to a full-day in this location. Great place to take the Kids as they will burn off a fair amount of energy while learning and expanding their awareness.

It was a pleasure to meander amongst the imaginative and thought-provoking artistic creations. Featuring some of the finest sculptures from the past century, they are set in peaceful and sylvan surroundings. Named after the university’s third chancellor, it was he who dedicated the garden in 1967.

Open to the public, the Los Angeles Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Visitors can walk through the colorful gardens lined with towering trees, sit by the fountains and cascading waterfall, enjoy the beautiful views, and feel the peace of the grounds. While you're there, you can take a guided tour at the Visitors' Center.
The Los Angeles Temple feels like an oasis of peace in the midst of hectic traffic and city bustle. Although only qualified members of the Church can enter the temple, there is an excellent visitors center on site which has many hands-on displays, visuals, videos, etc. Everyone is welcome to spend time at the visitors center or to stroll the well-maintained grounds. Inside the Temple itself are beautiful wall murals and other paintings that cause one to reflect upon God and His love for us.

Verified Important announcement: The L.A. Zoo will be temporarily closed to the public effective Friday, March 13, 2020 through the end of the month. As a department of the City of Los Angeles, we are following Mayor Garcetti’s city-wide directive aimed at slowing the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are actively monitoring this rapidly evolving situation and will continue to respond, keeping the health and safety of our community as our foremost concerns. Zoo employees – including animal care and veterinary staff – will continue to report to work in order to care for our animals and facilities. Our animal health experts are in communication with public health officials, as well as local and national veterinary networks, to stay up-to-date on any potential risks to animals in human care.
After visiting a couple other cities’ zoo I realized how special and beautiful the Los Angeles Zoo. Well worth it when visiting the excellent Griffith Park.
