We took out 2 grandchildren (13 & 10) and they had a fantastic couple of hours, as did we! Loads of really intriguing and amazing models that you needed to look twice at to see that they were actually made of Meccano. You can choose from a whole range of kits and self-selected Meccano pieces to have a go at making a model of your choice. To correct another review though - we were told the models couldn't be taken away but had to be dismantled for re-use. It is free to enter and the whole experience is really good. We would certainly return - its a lovely place to take your kids.

Brilliant courses, loads to do for children 7+ and some courses for the little ones too (although I wouldn't bring younger ones unless you are also taking older children who will get more out of it). My 7 year old enjoyed the Pirate and Viking courses to start off, and then went on to Green and eventually Yellow. The area is well kept and there were a lot more courses for age 10+ and more again for teens and adults looking for a challenge. The hut at the entrance sold drinks and snacks and there was a toilet although to be honest a 'wild wee' would probably be nicer but other than that we had a brilliant time. Great place, friendly dogs even beans the barking beagle €5 entry including free coffee and cereal €3 extra for a hot chocolate We came across this place completely by accident and I had to go back the next day for a visit Loved it even though the hot chocolate was very disappointing Wish they’d have offered me a beer ????
