Quaint alpine villages and great skiing entice travelers to the Grisons. The sparsely populated region of eastern Switzerland contains the source of the Rhine and Inn rivers, 140 square miles of glaciers and dense pine forests. Join the ski action at the resorts of St. Moritz, Davos and Arosa or stake a lofty claim with a visit to Juf, which boasts the highest altitude of any inhabited village in the Alps. In summer, take a hike through the Engadine Valley in the unspoiled beauty of Swiss National Park.

A paradise for our youngest guests in Arosa The indoor playground Bärenhöhle offers a lot of fun for the whole family especially in bad weather conditions. There is a ball pit, a tower to climb with a big slide, a bouncy castle, bobby cars, other vehicles and a lot more to have fun with. While the kids are playing parents and chaperons can enjoy a snack in the cafeteria on the gallery.

3060 metres long, 480 metres vertical difference, 31 curves - those who are familiar with these sort of toboggan runs will need no further explanation. For those who may be not, this is a fast but perfectly safe way of hurtling down the mountain side, around bends and over bumps and bridges. This is Switzerland's longest such run; depending on how fast you want to go, the run can take between five and seven minutes. With excitement all the way down, the wind in your face and the mountain landscape zooming past. The chair lift ride up is relaxing and interesting enough in itself, and those interested in mechanical things will find the method of getting the toboggans up to the top of the run fascinating. Then comes the run downhill: first a series of fast curves, backwards and forwards across the mountain side, then followed by a long straight section to build up plenty of speed before having to slow down for the finish. Your seat belt, hand brake and automatic speed brake will ensure that nothing can go wrong. Set in a spectacular Swiss landscape with wonderful views of the mountains around. It may seem expensive (but then nothing in Switzerland is cheap) for a single run, but you will certainly want to do two or more which reduces the cost. Children and Halbtax/GA holders also get reductions, and if you are able to arrive early (just after opening time) then there is a 2-for-the-price-of-1 offer in the summer. Practical information: ample car parking (pay and display) is available. Children from 3 can ride accompanied by an adult, children from age 8 can ride alone or together with an adult or child over 12. Also at the top there is a restaurant and rope adventure park, and at the bottom there is a fascinating ball run and a ride on train. The run is also open in the winter, with all of the usual ski and snow activities besides.

This was a wonderful tourist snow activity!!! Short, reasonably priced train trip up the mountain and easy walk to start of sledge run. Option for people to go back down on train also but possible to walk down toboggan run too. Run is fun for all ages (parents can double up with young children) and not too fast with some bumps for variety!
