Bangor on Dee is a left handed jumps racecourse set in glorious countryside and overlooked by the Welsh hills. Bangor has a unique character, amplified by the fact that it is the only Racecourse in the country that doesn't have a grandstand! The first steeplechase meeting took place at Bangor on 25th February 1859 over much the same course as that on which the races are held today. Chester Race Company Ltd is a dynamic, constantly evolving and growing organisation. The company is responsible for two racecourses and all catering and conference facilities at Bangor on Dee and Chester, along with an on course hotel at Chester - the Holiday Inn Express, restaurants 1539 and The White Horse at the Chester site and Commonhall Social in the city of Chester. The company also provide external catering services for third party events.
Excellent day out at this wonderful friendly racecourse. Such a joy when so many courses are over run with non race goers just there for the beer. Great view of the course.

We booked online to see Despicable Me 3 and collected our tickets from the foyer machines. All very simple The film was shown in Screen 5, and I'm pretty sure this is the best sounding cinema I've ever visited. Dialogue was pinpoint accurate, and music clear without being too loud or having too much bass. Not that bass was lacking, just well controlled and tight. The parking in the car park below was spacious, well lit, and very reasonably priced. Once the film was over, there are plenty of chain eateries - Nandos, BK, Frankie and Bennies etc. When we're next in this neck of the woods, we'll definitely visit again.

Came here today with my sister and our children (3 of them under the age of 8) Upon arrival we were asked to wait outside by a member of staff, who then asked us to complete the track and trace before we were allowed to enter the building. Once complete we went over to the desk to be checked in, a young lad who worked there then showed us to our bowling lane and explained the social distancing rules, informed us that all balls, ramps, seats tables etc we're deep cleaned upon our arrival and would be deep cleaned again before we leave. We had food while we were there which was very nice and enjoyed by all, the staff were safe and maintained social distancing with customers, plenty of hand sanitising stations around the entire building. Very impressed, fantastic in all areas!
