Vancouver was founded as “Gastown” by an Englishman with a penchant for beer and storytelling. Today Gastown is a historic section of the Canadian metropolis, and the lively pubs still reflect the area’s former status as a sort of community drinking center. The city’s forests, grand parks, and impressive suspension bridge beckon travelers to explore them, as do the city’s shops and museums. Relive the glory of the 2010 Winter Games with visits to Olympic venues and the marvelous Olympic Cauldron.

We organized a Virtual Trivia Night to bring together friends and colleagues as a way to "see" each other safely since all of our usual dinners and parties were not happening this year. What a fantastic way to connect online!! Trivia questions were fun yet challenging and allowed smaller group teams to play together :)

Long gone are the days that Escape Rooms would lock you in a room full of pad locks and combination safes. Today, Find and Seek has re-imagined the industry, as they have meticulously honed the balance between adventure, innovation, and storytelling in their Puzzle Adventure Escape Rooms. Find and Seek sets out to challenge the industry standards, to craft a gripping experience that is a combination of pure innovation and delightful, yet simple, gameplay. They journeyed across the globe to discover the best practices of the Escape Room genre. Their main focus is their customer’s experience, whereby they enhanced their rooms with smooth and seamless technology; the very same technology that is the definitive standard in world-class amusement parks. With this newly found knowledge, Find and Seek’s Puzzle Adventure Escape Rooms have been engineered from the ground up to bring an immersive story and epic adventure to life.
We did the Mystery at the Majestic Theatre with 2 adults and 3 kids (12, 12, and 9). The staff was exceptional, the option of "unsolicited hints" was so fun and very helpful, and the whole room was so well thought out, professional, and engaging. It was definitely challenging but not infuriating, and we all had such a great time that we can't wait to try the other room. The only 'con' is the location, but the room was so good that it still gets 5/5!

Zero Latency is the global leader in free-roaming, multiplayer virtual reality. Our “gaming arena” spans over 1500 sq ft, designed for 6 players and is the largest VR gaming arena in western Canada.
I went to Zero Latency in the first weekend of March 2020 with a group of friends. We all play on a rec sports team together so we thought we'd try out our teamwork skills in VR. A few of us have done these group VR things before, but for everyone in our group, it was our first time at Zero Latency. We booked ahead and they were ready for us. We got fitted with the backpacks, guns, VR goggles and headsets. They made sure all our equipment was working before going in. The game we played was a space mission. I have to say, compared to others, the story was actually pretty good, but what blew me away was the immersion. Not only were the goggles great (no screen door effect) but because this place was so big, when you walk around the game, you actually forget you're just in a big empty room in a mall. Was so much fun, and the staff used their own phone to take photos and videos (with our permission). After the session was over, they AirDropped it to my phone for free. Super nice of them.

Vancouver TheatreSports (VTS) brand of improvisation is a highly theatrical version of improvised comedy relying on audience suggestions to create on-the-spot scenarios and 'plot lines.' No two shows can ever be the same. For the past 5 years VTS has been voted the ‘#1 Improv Comedy Company’ at the prestigious ‘2019 Best of Vancouver Awards.’ VTS is a well-respected international leader in the improv art form, entertaining more than 65,000 people per year through 11-13 shows per week, 52 weeks per year at its own theatre, The Improv Centre, located on Granville Island. An intimate space, The Improv Centre is a fully-licensed facility with its own Bar & Lounge over-looking False Creek Marina, and VTS patrons are welcome to take their beverages into the theatre to enjoy during the show.
Most laughs I've had in years! Players were funny and enthusiastic and audience participation was encouraged. Not for young children or prudes but not vulgar either. Just real adult/teen humor. The admission price was very reasonable. Get tickets early because it sold out on a Tuesday night ! Theater is located on Granville Is. so parking is at a premium ( use the nearby underground lot ).

FlyOver Canada utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. You will hang suspended, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating 8-minute journey across Canada, from east to west. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience. At FlyOver Canada you will spend approximately 25 minutes getting introduced to our great country. You will first enter the pre-show area where you will be immersed in an audio-visual show of Canada "up close and personal" before heading to the boarding zone for your preflight briefing. You will then experience the unforgettable 8-minute Ultimate Flying Ride soaring over some of the most spectacular scenery the country has to offer. Open year round, 7 days a week. Conveniently located downtown at Canada Place.
This is a fabulous experience even though its only a short ride. We sit in a row of seats (7 to a row) and belt up as if we're going to fly. Once secured the safety barrier drops down and the seats move forward (or give that impression) while we are still in darkness. We then "ride" through clouds and are whisked off on a coast to coast plane ride (without the plane) taking in mountains, forests, zooming through valleys and the whole effect is quite breathtaking. We went on this ride twice but you could ride it many times and be mesmerised every time. Totally and utterly fabulous!

The Stanley Park Pitch & Putt offers sculpted fairways, mature trees and lush greens in a spectacular setting alongside English Bay. This pitch & putt course is minutes from the downtown core. The course is located close to many of Stanley Park’s best amenities including the tennis courts, lawn bowling club, and Second Beach swimming pool. With 18 holes ranging from 40 to 100 yards, this splendid course is free of hazards and provides an unrivalled setting bordered by a gorgeous rhododendron garden.
We came here to enjoy fun afternoon with few work colleges, it was a perfect day! Lovely little challenging course with a fantastic setting. In the downtown area and its very affordable. The COVID restriction are in place so pins cannot be removed, social distancing is well maintained.

This is a real life escape game that requires you to escape a theme that consists of puzzles and riddles. The objective of the game is to solve the mystery with the limited amount of time given. We designed a scenario where it will add flare and drama to your next escape! We encourage participants to work together as a team to complete the puzzles more efficiently.
We had so much fun when we visited Locked for our last escape game of the decade! The staff was very nice and the "apocalypse" room was immersive and full of surprise! Can't wait to come back!
