See a buffalo up close, live like a cowboy for a day on a working cattle ranch or visit a stagecoach stop on the Sante Fe Trail are just a few of the many vacation experiences possible in this state in America’s heartland. You’ll love the wide-open spaces and the opportunities to engage in a variety of one-of-a-kind experiences in this marvelous state, which has the largest segment of true tallgrass prairie remaining in the U.S. Regardless of where you visit: a major metropolitan area like Kansas City, a college town like Manhattan or Lawrence or engaging places like Wichita, Dodge City and Salina, there are a wide array of attractions and sights nearby. If you want to familiarize yourself with cowboy culture, visit the Boot Hills Museum in Dodge City, dine on all-you-can-eat barbeque and hear songs of the American Cowboy at Diamond W Chuckwagon Supper in Wichita or explore the Dickinson County Heritage Center in Abilene, which has dance halls, gaming rooms and 32 saloons.
For outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching and other activities, three of the state’s most popular parks are: Cheney State Park near Wichita; Scott State Park near Scott City and Tuttle Creek State Park near Manhattan.

Real-life escape room games are new and fun way to spend time with friends and family! These adventure games challenge you to use the elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit. Can you make it out before the timer expires?
I feel like I've been to quite a few Escape rooms, both in Wichita, and in Kansas City. This place is by far the best. The quality of the puzzles, along with the workmanship of the construction, and the thought put into the games themselves, really do make them a notch above any other escape room I've visited. Our attempt to escape Project 403 was unsuccessful, but it was heart-pounding and fun to try. I recommend Puzzle Plex to anyone who is looking for a fun, exciting thing to try with a group of 2 up to 8.

Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park is a wonderful community park in Lenexa. It has facilities offering a variety of recreational opportunities. Some of the main features are: Skateboard park, Disc golf course, Picnic shelters, Aquatic center, and Sand volleyball courts. In construction are Ice rink and tennis courts. The trails are concrete paved and good for walking running. The trails total approximately three miles long. The park is beautiful with a small lake called Rose Pond being the main feature; fishing is allowed with Kansas license. The pedestrian bridge across the pond is beautifully designed. Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park is very apt for leisurely walk or for active sports. It’s next door neighbor is the historic Legler Barn Museum.

Home of the KANSAS JAYHAWKS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB.- See a college men's football game on Saturday afternoons in fall and spring. Most matches start at 1:00 but may be noon. Half of the schedule are away matches, so check the website or Facebook page for schedule and game times. - The Jayhawks play against other regional universities and made the National Playoffs in 2018 & 2019.
Best in class rugby pitches about five minutes outside of town. Some of the best Saturdays include packing a cooler and heading to Westwick for some spectacular rugby. International players, college fans and the best alumni around are always in attendance! There's an intense pride for the rugby club and it shows. Bring the whole family!

Enjoyed the walking trail that circles the lake. The Rose Garden was especially nice. I understand that the tulips are lush, but we missed those. Nice

12 acre park with 2 acre fishing pond and modern playground. Several features to note: working Dutch Windmill (1879), statues from 1893 Chicago World's Fair (read: Devil in the White City). The Wamego Museum and historical village is nearby and morphed with the park. Children's train and depot. The park is the epicenter for festivals (Tulip festival, OZ Fest, 4th of July, etc).
Unfortunately was closed. But you could walk around and look inside the buildings. It’s on a beautiful park that provides tables and benches. I cannot tell you how peaceful clean and beautiful this park is!!
