The home of swing and bebop for some, "The City of Fountains" to others, Kansas City is different things to different people. Music enthusiasts are drawn to the jazz clubs and old haunts of famous musicians such as Charlie Parker and Count Basie. With more fountains than Rome, there is ample opportunity for scenic strolling from fountain to fountain. Stop along the way to discover interesting neighborhoods and browse through eclectic shops. Families are particularly attracted to the city because of its child-friendly events and venues. Science City features hands-on exhibits including a mock television studio where kids can deliver a weather forecast, while the Zoo houses impressive African and Australian exhibits plus an IMAX Theater. The city's museums cover everything from the history of jazz music to a celebration of African American baseball players. Once a trading post for pioneers heading to the Western United States, today Kansas City is a burgeoning metropolis with activities and attractions for visitors of all ages and interests.

I have participated in a few escape rooms at both the River Market (Secret Agent, Prison Break) and Union Station (Judgment Day, Da Vinci) and all four were challenging and a great experience thanks to the working equipment and the staff. There are limited clues the staff can offer, but they do a good job of determining where you are at in the game and what hint will really help. It is a game you can win with only two people or ten! I like that the game puts you in different scenarios per room and the puzzles aren’t childlike and easy. You definitely get your money’s worth.

In addition to our breakout rooms, we also cater to groups of any size, offer a variety of special event packages, and have a professional team-building experience (Team Lab).
The Casino room for Breakout KC was great! It was challenging so it isn't for the faint of heart. However, it was very good to be challenged with the group I was with to help us strive for excellence. Also, the staff were helpful whenever we needed some clues on what to do next! Great experience with great customer service!

THE BASEMENT is an escape room venue with two highly-immersive escape room experiences. You will be locked inside one of these rooms for a designated amount of time while you and your team try to figure out how to escape. The room contains clues, trap doors, and hidden items. Anything that’s not glued or bolted down can be moved and may be an integral piece in your quest to escape (and survive).
I'm not a big horror fan, but this wasn't super scary, just mildly scary. It was a great time with challenging puzzles and having actors added extra excitement.
