From horse racing to wedding ceremonies and receptions, markets and conferences, family dining and sports bar entertainment, we have something for everyone. The Ipswich Turf Club has undertaken a major transformation over the past few years and now incorporates more than just horse racing. From mid-2020, the Club will trade as the Ipswich Events & Entertainment Centre embracing the multi-faceted offering. The Ipswich Events & Entertainment Centre now offers multiple rooms for functions ranging from small intimate functions to larger outdoor events. The new Grange Lounge is the newest function space in Ipswich and offers a contemporary venue overlooking the racecourse.

The park is named in honour of an aboriginal Australian folklore being called a Yowie reputed to have roamed the hills of Kilcoy. The yowie is certainly memorable and the yowie statue in the park sticks in my mind from a school excursion out to Somerset Dam back in 1989. It was great to come back and see it 30 years later and take a relaxing walk through the lush green park, and around the lake filled with lillipads & water birds and read the interpretive signage re the history of the area. There is a craft store and historical museum adjacent to the park as well which looked interesting but was closed when I visited.

You can see beautiful sunsets from the park or walk around the oval, we have also visited for a picnic as it is a nice spot.

I’d say this is one of the best park in Brisbane. The park itself has tennis courts, tracks, lots of electric bbq, and huge playground for kids of all ages. Children can just spend hours here without getting bored at all.

Really friendly staff and great climbing on super high walls. There is fantastic selection of rope and bouldering and so much to choose from. I went as a casual visitor on my own and had a great time. There is also a functional fitness setup which looks awesome. All round brilliant day out.

Robelle Domain’s expansive green lawns, bike tracks, tree top walks and shady picnic areas are great for all the family. Add to this the Family Water Play complete with a huge tipping bucket and water jets, and the public, lagoon-style pool (opening September 2015), the kids will absolutely love this place – parents can also grab a coffee and lunch in the Robelle Cafe.
Lovely place to exercise. Plenty of wide paths that lead in various directions. Plenty of room to walk beside friends or pooches. Beautiful open spaces to lunch and a small lake with a cascading water fall. Other options are domain swimming pools, which are free and have lovely cafes, with Orion shopping centre nearby to shop, go see a movie or grab a more substantial meal.
