The sweetest place to be in Windsor since 1998. We hand-make the best fudge in the world, using a 200-year-old recipe. It’s all gluten free, completely natural and doesn’t contain any nasty palm oil or preservatives. We even make the best vegan fudge you’ve ever tasted. Watch fudge being made in our kitchen every day between 11-4 and taste some fresh off the slab! If you’re a true fudge fanatic, you can even come for a Fudge Making Experience (please call ahead to check availability).
A visit to this shop is a ritual I have every time I visit my family Windsor (which can be often)! Met the lovely Henry this time - I think it's safe to say we tried every flavour (maybe some twice!) My fave this time has got to be the Salted Caramel & the Darch Chocolate Orange (which was warm as freshly made) The Eton Mess is going down a storm in my office as I write this review!! Henry is definitely an asset to this wee shop - a bonus for me was finally getting to meet Dexter the Cat!

Sadly the Windsor Garrison no longer uses this church, but it remains a shrine to the British Army with standards everywhere and the balcony fascia completely covered with memorials to various military campaigns. I was fortunate to visit on the day before Remembrance Sunday, so it was full of volunteers cleaning the interior and setting up for the following day’s service. I was able to have a fascinating talk with the vicar about the history of the church, which was initially funded by a donation by Queen Victoria. Prince Albert had a significant influence over its design and there’s a life sized statue of him in the entrance lobby. The magnificent interior is very definitely Victorian, but distinctly lighter and brighter than in many other churches of that era.

A Hoppy Place is a craft beer bottle shop & tasting room in Windsor, Berkshire, a stones throw from the Castle. Come and try a fantastic local craft beer!
We can't say enough good things about A Hoppy Place! Great Beer, great people with great knowledge, and always a great welcome. Whether you know a lot about beer (or like us, just like drinking it :) you'll be greeted with a real welcome, and will have a lot of fun drinking (and learning) on the way.

The Long Walk as the name says clearly, is at least a 2 mile straight line walk from Windsor Castle gate to the King George Horse statue where tarmac ends. Its located in Great Windsor Park and used for all kind of Royal activities, weddings, funerals, special occasions and most recently Prince Harry wedding. It's kind of mistake to come here on summer weekends because it gets more crowded than M25 but generally winter midweeks when the weather forces people to stay indoors, you can walk the long lonely road by yourself. The best time is of course the autumn afternoons when sunlight is shining through the perfectly lined 2 tree columns. The walk itself is not only refreshing, calming, scenic but easy too. Even a child in pram can do it. I love it so much that I drive 7 miles from where I live to come here, park and walk. Because here I can get my daily dose of outdoors without getting mud on my shoes.

Welcome to 4800 acres of sweeping parkland, award-winning gardens, ancient woodland and forest trails that are just waiting to be explored. There is something for everyone within Windsor Great Park, at any time of year. Encompassing The Savill Garden, Virginia Water, The Valley Gardens and the Long Walk and Deer Park - the Great Park offers a rich tapestry of experiences to discover, with a Royal history spanning over 1,000 years. You will encounter historical monuments, ancient forests and stunning horticultural displays, as well as rare wildlife, plants and fungi - so whatever your interest, there will be something to excite and amaze you.
The Long Walk is exactly what it says it is and from the Castle gates to the Horse Monument and back again is a total of 5.2 Miles, every each of it is well worth the effort and walk - wear comfy shoes, definitely dont miss doing this.

Our first time watching a Changing of the Guard ceremony and I'm glad it was at Windsor Castle, We were up close as the crowd size is much smaller than Buckingham Palace and there is only a short 2'0 tall fence that you stay behind, so the view is not obscured

As an outsider from London, I’d never heard of No.5 but my mate dragged me there and....wow, I’ll certainly be back. The ambiance was buzzing, the owners welcoming and drinks amazing! Never been before but 100% will be back!

All my favourite shops in such a small area. Better than Brighton where I usually like to shop. Would definitely recommend a visit,

So nice to find a quiet area to sit and contemplate by the water fountain. Lovely play area for the children far enough away so not too noisy but in good line of sight. Nice clean toilet facility and ice cream shop too.
