This building has been a center of prayer since its establishment as a Benedictine nunnery in 705AD. It contains the Chained Library, which is one of the UK's first lending libraries.
what can I say this is a place of worship, all are welcome, freindly and welcoming, quiet areas for private pracyer, always people on hane, facinating chain library, dog friendly

We're one of the smallest, friendliest pubs around! Serving a wide range of Badger ales, we've always got the guest seasonal ale on tap. Add in a range of bar snacks, soft drinks, lagers and ciders and you've got the perfect destination......
The Oddfellows Arms is a small pub in a side street off the square, serving Badger ales. Visited during the day when it was quiet, in the evening it can get very busy with live music. Chad Gould, guitar soloist was on and he was brilliant. The bedroom sized bar was jam packed but the solo bar lady coped exceedingly well. A proper pub with a great atmosphere.

So glad we made this visit. There is lots of interesting information available, the car park is free for national trust members, and the whole site is amazing. A perfect place for the dogs to enjoy the beautiful views whilst we enjoyed the views and stunning countryside on offer.

Visited here on a Monday evening in December when down in Wimborne the night for work. Noticed on the map and decided to walk out to. I put my hi-vis on as the lanes are very dark! It would be a good walk in the summer. The pub is tucked away up a hill. They had 2 real ales on. The beer was good. The landlady was extremely pleasant. This is a very interesting pub. It is like stepping back in time. There aren't that many of these pubs about. I felt very welcome indeed as a non-local, it's certainly not cliquey! The locals all went out of their way to talk to me, being as I was on my own. Cannot recommend enough. I hope my travels bring me back to Wimborne again!

Only 10 minutes away from my house so I pop down quite often...Great place for fabrics at very reasonable prices...Couple of weeks ago managed to get a lawnmower and garden fork as well, again very reasonable..Mr Middleditch even carried it to the car for me.....I love browsing and buying there especially as I get a pensioners discount on a friday, but why do I always forget and go on a saturday?.Just wish they opened more often.........

Four of us visited here for the evening whilst visiting Wimborne.. what a find.. Staff very friendly, shout out to Laura our brilliant host and then there's the beers.. Awesome selection of Cask and Keg Ales and bottles too... We did our best to sample most of them, just halves as they dont serve in thirds here, which may be my only suggestion for improvement.. but really there is no improvement needed, its a real gem here.. we stayed until it was tiome to leave after the last bell.. having thoroughly enjoyed the night.

Walford Mill Crafts welcomes you to the beautiful listed Mill building on the outskirts of Wimborne town centre. Here you can enjoy a wonderful display of contemporary crafts from local and national makers, leading exhibitions and the Millstream Café. A visit to Walford Mill Crafts will be relaxing, enjoyable and inspirational.
I visit Walford Mill every time I go to Wimborne , which is frequently. It is a wonderful place to go , to be inspired, to learn a new skill, be educated, pick up some beautiful hand crafted treats for yourself or an unique gift for a loved one and of course meet the lovely, very talented crafters. There is of course the added bonus of the lovely river side location, iconic building and a courtyard with seating where you can enjoy the very delicious food and coffee from the Happyccino café. Highly recommended destination within a short walk of the town centre.
