Wilsons Promontory National Park

Wilsons Promontory National Park is the southernmost tip of mainland Australia. Walk remote coastal bushland trails and swim at pristine beaches dominated by granite tors. Camp in comfort at family-friendly Tidal River or hike to a more secluded campsite. Either way, the local wombats, kangaroos and emus are waiting to meet you. Swim at Norman Beach or one of The Prom's more secluded beaches. Go snorkelling for a unique underwater view of Victoria's largest marine national park. Scale the granite peaks of Mount Bishop or Mount Oberon for panoramic views, or enjoy an overnight hike. In the north there's a remote and rugged wilderness to explore, while the south is home to the historic Wilsons Promontory Lightstation and Sealers Cove.

Squeaky Beach

Went with family. A short walk to the beach from the car park. Best to cross to the main beach closer to the rocks. The sand is pure white and feels like talcum powder. The beach definitely squeaks. A memorable experience.

Whisky Beach

Reviewed By AmatureTourist - Melbourne, Australia

A short weekend get away and we were blessed (?) with overcast skies, low temperatures and high winds. We made the most of it and beach hopped the prom. Whisky beach was one of the best! Great views, great beach and the walk was almost as picturesque as the beach. Short walk from car park, toilet facilities at car park and picnic tables. Short walk at low tide around to Picnic Beach which can help fill out a day. Stay for an hour or stay for the day you will not get bored

Lilly Pilly Gully

Reviewed By 619jeffry - Essendon, Australia

The Lilly Pilly track is one of the most popular walks in Wilsons Promotory. It goes through native bush, including temperate rainforest. The track is good for people with limited mobility - it has boardwalks and mostly the path is compacted sand. The round trip is about 5.2 km (about 3 1/4 miles) and takes around 1 1/2 hours. You may bump into emus and wallabies (they're harmess). Dogs are no allowed. By the way, a lilly pilliy is a tree with red fruit, they are sometimes called an Austraalian cherry.

My wife and I walked across this bridge to get to the start of a few hiking trails. This is a very scenic part of Wilsons Prom. It is likely that all visitors to Wilsons Prom would walk across this bridge as it is near the Visitors Centre and the main car park.
