Family-run shop specializing in the sale and tasting of fresh truffles and artisanal products with truffles. The truffle grows in the woods surrounding Volterra We are truffle hunters since 1996
Boutique del Tartufo is a shop located in the old town of Volterra, a wonderful medieval town in Tuscany Region, in Italy. Here you can buy and taste some truffle products. Really, if you are a gourmet or a truffle-lover, here you can taste and excellent quality products with truffle like a focaccia di pecorino e tartufo nero (focaccia with pecorino cheese and black teuffle) or a focaccia di funghi e tartufo bianco (focaccia with mushrooms and white truffle). Very recommendable to buy local products (with truffle obviously).

My wife and I had 2 objectives for visiting Volterra: Etruscan history and alabaster. When leaving the Etruscan Museum, we asked for directions to an alabaster shop and were directed right around the corner. We entered to find not just a shop, but a workshop where Roberto was hard at work on a commission. Upon entering he came over to greet us, introduced himself and spoke to us about different kinds of alabaster. We watched him as he worked on a piece and then browsed over the pieces for sale in the workshop. While we would have loved to buy a lamp, we were concerned about it breaking in transit. We ultimately settled on two vases/candlesticks and a small handful of smaller tealight holders. We highly recommend a visit to Alab Arte. It is worth a trip to Volterra.

Kalpa Art Living - art galleries and interiors in the midst of Tuscan beauty. Presenting a unique spiritually conscious lifestyle where nature, culture and intellect breathe together to become a unique fusion of wabi-sabi and Italian aesthetics.
In the historic center of Volterra, Olga Niescier has her beautiful gallery Kapla Art Living. For me as a photographer it is an inspiring space with tasteful art and beautiful use of materials. Definitely a must to visit when you are in Volterra !!

The shop is tucked away.....this is not something you will just run into on the Main Street. Tucked away in a corner. I was glad our guide knew enough to take us here. Mr. Rossi's greetings were warm and inviting from the beginning. He was quick to point out that this is the real stuff!! There are inexpensive copies out there, but this is the real deal!! He took us into the workshop, where one of the craftsman showed us on the lathe, how to work the alabaster into something special. I wonder if these guys develop lung problems?? No mask, no protective eye wear? Really a special place to visit, and learn about this wonderful ancient handicraft. You will feel like you have known this family for years. And owning something made by their family is definitely a treasure to have in your home! I was visiting with a friend, but this tour would be enjoyed by families with children as well. I can see groups of teenagers loving this too. Really a cool place.
