The Cronulla Beach Walk follows more than four kilometres of the Shire’s coastline south from Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club to Bass and Flinders Point, where the Hacking River meets the Tasman Sea. The pathway passes stunning beaches, child-friendly rock pools, parks, playgrounds, cafes and period houses interspersed with lavish new homes and apartments overlooking the water. In the morning you’ll see locals out for a run or walk with friends, and swimmers striking out to the yacht buoy or Shark Island. In summer, watch nippers and lifesavers train and enjoy a dip at one of the many beaches along the walk. Everyone is out, from new mums with prams, families and kids on scooters to the stalwarts of Cronulla on their way to the RSL for lunch or a game of bowls. The footsteps on this walk have echoed since the early 1900s when Cronulla Beach was the place for Sydneysiders to holiday, and it remains a popular and social walk.
We walked from Elouera Beach to Bass and Flinders. Lovely walk, take your swimmers and stop to swim in the rock pools along the way at Cronulla Beach, Shelly Beach and Oak Park.

This provided beauty and peace for trip with a dear friend (aged 96) who managed short walks and we were all exhilarated by the gardens. The tea house complemented the gardens and provided caring service and delicious food choices.

Our favourite place! Lots to do. Parks, walks, surf, coffee, wander in to Cronulla and browse the shops. We always take visitors along when they come!

Chocolate shop & factory right next to Jannali Railway station. And now an ice creamery too with REAL cone ice creams! Captain Chocolate makes all products on the premises & factory production can be seen through a window from the shop. The Captain has won many awards & medals for the unique panned chocolate products. Sampling is available & all exciting products can be purchased. Some specialities are Salted Caramel Nibbles, Chilli Inca Berries, Dark Chocolate Orange Nibbles, a good range of Chocolate Coated Coffee Beans & lots more!

My favourite beach in Sydney, ideal for swimming and coast walking. Compare to Bondi, it is less populated but more beautiful and tranquil

Tucked away at the back of some industrial buildings in Kirrawee, there is this mini-brewery. It is a great place to chill out on a friday afternoon after work and enjoy some different beers , order some food from the foodtruck outside and go-home at 7.30 (closing time) a happy person.

Stunning coastal views - cliffs and ledges. Plenty of places to walk to. Information about Aboriginal significance of the area and Cook's landing spot

It's got a big park behind the rocks and the big pool (could be deeper) but a bit away from the more crowded parts of Cronulla. This whole coast has a good path along it (particularly good because bikes aren't allowed) and Oak Park further south is even nicer (except for a shallower pool) plus there's good snorkelling further along at Salmon Haul Bay. A real Sydney gem that I wish I'd discovered earlier.

This is a delightful hidden gem of the Sutherland Shire and well worth the trip to walk among the gum trees
