This fjord is gorgeous, the narrowness of it with near sheer vertical snow capped mountains surrounding and cascading waterfalls makes it a picture perfect setting that is almost unbelievable. There are a few elevated viewing points that are ideal to make the most of the stunning scenery and capturing outstanding photos. A cruise on the fjord is well worthwhile to maximise the fjord in its entirety.

I recommend one of the small boat tours to see it from all angles AND get up close. The small boat tours are cheaper and quicker if you want to do some hiking afterwards.

Looking for gifts and souvenirs for your loved ones back home? Who does not love chocolate?? We make our own internationally awarded chocolate downstairs, peep into our production from the fjord side. We do things a little bit different. Have you ever tried chocolate with cheese inside? Or whisky? Or typical Norwegian wild berries like cloudberry and lingonberry? We also sell other delicatessen made by other small local businesses. Home made soft-ice cream and chocolate waffles on a stick is other popular treats or one of our 5 different hot chocolates on a cold Norwegian summer day.
Very charming shop filled with excellent quality of handmade chocolates. Swedish chocolatier offers various tastes of chocolates. I strongly recommend to try chocolates with aquavitt and brown cheese. They are very unique and probably you cannot find these any other place. If you are lucky you can taste fantastic local strawberries with chocolates????.

When we got off of our cruise ship we first walked up the road that winds out of Geiranger. After we got up near the little church we discovered that there is another sidewalk with steps that goes along the river where there are multiple waterfalls. It's all a wonderful setting in this small town set at the end of a gorgeous fjord.

You can already see the eagle turns (ornesvingen) from the Geiranger cruise. It has a lot of turns and has nice view on its view point. It hasn’t much parking lot, so please be quick when you finished taking photos so others also can park their car and enjoy the view.

Start from Vesterås. Follow the relatively flat farm track from the buildings for approx. 10 mins. Then head up to the right - there is a path that climbs steadily until it reaches Løsta at approx. 500 m above sea level. There is a fine view of the fjord, Grande and Møllsbygda (Ørnevegen).

After a Geirangerfjord cruise you can drive south to reach Flydalajuvet. It has a tiny parking lot, so please be quick when you have taken some nice photos, so others also can park their car and enjoy the view as well. Flydalsjuvet wasn’t far from Geiranger. You can also walk to Flydalsjuvet from the Geiranger center and through the waterfall trail.

Thoroughly recommend the ferry ride from here and a walk around the fjord to the restored farmhouse at Kurla where I picked wild blueberries and raspberries. I also fished and watched the rain sweep in along the fjord . This beach at Hellesylt is very pretty with its retro changing sheds and apple trees giving shade. It one an award for Norway’s prettiest swimming beach last year. The vista is spectacular

The Geirangerfjord An iconic attraction featuring many of the characteristic natural and cultural charms of the Norwegian fjords. 20km-long UNESCO-listed fjord carves through the mountains of Norway leaving near-vertical drops on both sides , all along steep cliffs, waterfalls, Seven Sisters waterfalll is the best of all.
