Saint Croix Vineyards

A friend and I came here to try out the winery - little did we know it's also attached to an apple orchard and there is a ton to do! With COVID, we had a wine tasting outside. The tastings were generous portions - we shared one white and one red. All of the wine was good! We will be back to get bottles. The winery is inside of a barn and has a very charming rustic feel. The apple barn part is awesome too - picked up apple brats, apples, candles and wax warmers. Very cute gift shop and place. Can't wait to come back!

The most adorable little place with multiple sizes of teddy bears, along with a tree fort to climb or hide in and even a train to play on. This place is something right out of a fairytale book! This is also a great place for photos and after you leave the park you can walk right downtown for plenty of places to eat or soak up the scenery.

Stillwater Lift Bridge

Temporarily Closed

Reviewed By V3516MSjohnw - Stillwater, United States

The Stillwater Historic Lift Bridge is a must-see point of interest in the Minnesota-Wisconsin St. Croix valley. Now closed to vehicular traffic, the lift bridge still operates during boating seasons and one can still marvel at the ingenuity of engineering from bygone days. The blast of the single-pitched marine horn from the bridge operator's cabin announces the spectacle as an entire span of the bridge rises to allow paddlewheel excursion boats and other pleasure craft to navigate up and down the St. Croix river. Visit the various restaurants, coffeehouses, wine bars, brewery, winerery or antique and specialty shops on Stillwater's quaint Main Street, then stroll over to the riverside Lowell Park to witness a moving moment of history.

Lowell Park

Reviewed By CaptTrouble - Hudson, United States

My husband and I went for a late lunch at Lolo. Afterward, we took a nice walk along the river through Lowell Park South. The river was still high but had started to recede; even the no wake had been lifted just a couple of hours earlier. As proof, there was a guy racing back and forth in speed boat. I guess he wasn’t worried about causing damage to the shoreline anymore, even though the water was still high. Lovely view of the old lift bridge.

Brown's Creek Trail

Reviewed By 473brandonb - Cincinnati, United States

We came to Stillwater from an hour away for the day with our electric bikes. It was a very hot Saturday in July. The Brown’s Creek trail runs parallel to a creek in the woods so you don’t feel the heat. We rode one way 6 miles and back into downtown Stillwater and then the 5 mile loop south of Stillwater into Wisconsin and across the historic lift bridge into Stillwater. There are a lot of people who use the trail, pedestrians and bikers. Trail is in good condition. On the Wisconsin side the pedestrian and bikes are two separate parallel paths. If you are traveling through Minnesota and have your bikes with you don’t have a lot of time, this is the trail to do. We started riding mid morning and had lunch in Stillwater afterwards.
