Gulf Islands National Park Reserve is closed for the season until May 15, 2021. Most green spaces and trails are still available for your enjoyment; however, the majority of visitor services are no longer available. Be prepared and use additional caution as search and rescue services are limited. Enjoy your Gulf Islands National Park Reserve responsibly! Experience the park, an archipelago of sheltered islands, islets and reefs in the Salish Sea. Breathe in the sea air and the Mediterranean-like climate while exploring stunning beaches, peaceful coves and lush forest trails. Take in the spectacular ocean views with glimpses of seals, sea lions, porpoises and Orca whales. Connect with fascinating local culture and people, or enjoy boating, kayaking, hiking and an extensive interpretive program, including a multi-route geocaching program for all ages.

Every Thursday night during June, July and August, the Town's charming main street, Beacon Avenue, is closed to traffic and transformed into one of the most spectacular, festive street markets in British Columbia. With over 150 vendors offering everything from locally grown produce, handmade jewellery by local artisans, one of a kind clothing, toys, flowers, handmade soaps, home-made breads, jams, fudge and so much more; there is something for everyone in the family! The Sidney Street Market attracts up to 5,000 people a night who all come to savour the flavours, see the sights and listen to the sounds of a myriad of musical performers. The Sidney Street Market is a must see and do event for everyone's summer activities list. Market hours are 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

This is one of my favourite parks in Sidney. There seems to be something for everyone including the skateboard park for the kids, a sand volleyball court for the teens or young adults, playground for the young ones and a walking trail along the ocean.

Local Bookstore where individuals can find books of there choice
Walking into Tanners is a great all around experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the lay out is easy to find things in and the selection and focus on local writers is heart warming to say the least. If they don't have it they will get it for you too. Wonderful book store!!!!

Small Park located in Sidney B.C.with an ocean view
We visited on a gorgeous day. Sun was shining, lots of people were out on the rocky beach and walking. Some people were looking for sea glass. A wedding took place in the band shell, reception was held in the hotel bordering the park. We saw a seal by the dock and lots of sea birds.

Traditional Candy Store with a huge range of British Sweets, European Licorice, fun and retro candy and novelty candy. A fun store to bring kids and for oldies to reminisce. This store is a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The service is personal and a must see for visitors to Sidney.
