Mercedario, the highest mountain in San Juan, and the seventh of America. Season by season, this hill is receiving more and more international climbers looking for authentic experiences, new challenges and less crowded mountains. Near from Aconcagua, is 6770 meters high above sea level and different ways to get to the summit, some of them not explored or rarely performed. Rock, Ice and Mix climbing with the entire difficulties and lengths spectrum can be done here. Is a wonderful site to discover, doing trekking, climbing, or horseback riding and it hosts some archeological pieces from the Incas and picturesque sceneries.

We stopped here and were treated to a tour by one of the workers! Almost everything here in the production of sparkling wines is done by hand. And they love to open a bottle for you. Make sure you tip the staff!

The 35-acre estate has been worked by our family since 1897. Driven by the desire to see how our grapes become high quality wines, we finished building a small winery in 2004, with an output capacity of sixty thousand liters, and the most advanced technology, which allows for excellence in vinification.
I really enjoyed the tour and the explanation s (in Spanish only). We tasted three different wines and enjoyed the local white win wine. The desert wine was also special, very aromatic but not too sweet. A great boutique winery. We bought 4 bottles of wine for 1300 pesos.

I was travelling on Route 150 on my way to a mine site for work. The geology is stunning. My co-workers I stopped at a small local deli in Las Flores for a sandwich. I wish I could remember the name. There were numerous laying on the grass in the hot sun to greet us. They hardly acknowledged our presence.

If you are looking for an exiting experience, drive over this Paso. In both directions, the views are fantastic. The colorful mountains are something not to be missed. Early morning drive from Argentina to Chile, and afternoon from Chile eastwards.
