As daytrippers we took the bus to see the seals, then caught the next bus back around to Little Parakeet Bay (the buses go clockwise). It's tiny. Well protected from prevailing winds. Sand is very good and the water safe and calm. As it is a little bit away from main beach, it is quieter and we had the beach to ourselves for a bit. You can then walk back through Goerdie's, the Basin and the lighthouse to main beach for the trip back. It's a few kms, but if you take it slow, it is very easy.

Fantastic location for a few night's stay. Close enough for access to facilities, but private enough to feel like you have the island to yourself. Great family style cabins too with plenty of privacy and a stunning view.

Made this our last last spot when cycling around Rottnest island. Spent the most time here after a long day of exploring. Good to spend some extended time on the nice beach, does get pretty popular sometimes but it's so nice. Great snorkeling and diving too at each end around the rocks.

Took myself on Rottnest ferry after being picked up in Scarborough Bch by courtesy bus.Included coffee & muffin while waiting to board.Staff were very friendly & views of coastline stunning.Had a tour booked & after arriving headed off to get tour under way. Although the train was under repair we boarded a mini bus & with excellent commentary we toured part of the island.Stopped for a picnic lunch then back onto bus to other side of island which included lighthouse tour & war history tour of the big guns & tunnels which protected Fremantle in the war.Great people excellent history info & got some great photos.Back onto bus & saw dolphins sea lions birds & Whales off the coast with photo ops.Ending in town had time for a cold one at bar on water before boarding ferry for return trip & courtesy bus back.Excellent day out highly recommend tour????Tks will return. The quotas are everywhere & don’t mind posing for a selfie.

Stunning white sand beach with great snorkelling! Easily accessible via the Hop On and Hop Off bus or a short 20mins bike ride from town centre, which is part of the fun getting there!

I went down the metal stairs and found myself on a beautiful beach. The bay was calm. I like the dunes. They were attractive. It had white sand. Quite different. I stood still here and enjoyed my environment. Wow! This is a must see!

Fish Hook Bay is the area on the south western tip of the island, to the east of West End Boardwalk and Cape Vlamingh (TripAdvisor currently has the incorrect location). This little bay has some fantastic scenery here and is well worth the walk along the boardwalk as well as the trails closer to the bay to get some great photos. Easily accessible by bus, bike or the walking trails on the south western end of the island.
