Pueblo magico - truly is !!! There are different shades of blue from the lightest to dark dark blue . We took a boat with tour guy which cost about 260 peso it took about 2.5 h all around lake with few stops when we could jump in the water and enjoy this beautiful place . Water is sweet which made the experience even better:) , would highly recommend it . We stayed near Playa del Carmen and it took us 3.5 h drive , the best is to early morning so can make most of it . Plenty shops and restaurants around to get some snacks or food.

This beach is very close to the Torre Escénica, on the northern side of the hotel strip. Almost no waves, great for kids and people afraid of the sea. The beach is clean and you can access it even if you are not staying in any of the hotels around.

If you are tired of the standard beaches along the Hotel Zone, visit Playa Delfines, a beautiful and very large beach with fine sand and slightly intense waves located near El Rey archaeological zone. Here, you can rent chairs and beach umbrellas as well as bring your own drinks and snacks. You will also find bathrooms, showers, "palapas" and parking lot, all these services totally free. Here you will also find a beautiful wooden lookout with the colorful "Cancún" sign that appears on many of the city´s postcards and brochures.

There’s always plenty of beach available to enjoy an entire day there. Plaza Kukulcan makes it a convenient public beach with easy access to a good variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Yes, having to rent chairs and a beach umbrella can be one downside, but waves are perfect there and beach is worth it.

La Isla Shopping Village

Reviewed By TingCO - Manila, Philippines

La Isla is the best quality shopping to be found in Cancun. It’s actually several shopping hubs connected to each other across the street from hotel row, making it a wonderful perk for resort clients. It appears to be inspired by Venice, boasting bridges and canals and then sea, even pirate boats. In addition to hosting over a hundred shops to include many specialty stalls, souvenir stores, low to high-end fashion (Zara, Massimo Dutti, Louis Vuitton etc), Haagen-Dazs and many great restaurants, it houses an aquarium amusement park where you can even swim with dolphins. Lots of locals hang here along with the multitude of resort clients. If you want to shop in Cancun, this is the place. Check out Wayang for cool Mexican resort wear.

Playa Norte

A lovely island with the most beautiful beach!! We booked a day trip to Isla Mujeres with Scuba Caribe and it was very enjoyable, once on the boat over we hired a golf cart for 4 hours through S.C for $60 US dollars which is around $1200pesos we found out once on the island their a bit cheaper, so you could shop around as their are a number of companies hiring the said carts. It’s a real fun day on the carts and takes about two to three hours to get around the island if stopping off at the different sites. One cool spot was feeding the turtles in a marina then we drove to the southern most point of the island to see the light house and giant Iguana statue...a lovely spot!! On our return finishing up at Norte Beach a beautiful beach beyond compare!! We eat at the Mayan Beach Club restaurant which is one of the first restaurants at the northern end of the beach, the food was fine and if you choose to eat there you’re allowed to use their beach sun beds free, which we did!! So we recommend you definitely do a day trip to Isla Mujeres and it’s gorgeous Norte Beach!!

Playa Palancar Cozumel Beach Club

The most wonderful thing about Playa Palancar is that it feels like a private beach. It is quieter than most beaches in Cozumel and presents both a great diversity of activities and a peaceful environment. Order a Margarita in one of the beach bars. The seafood here is fabulous. Try the local specialties: the Ceviche, a seafood dish marinated in citrus juice with chili, and the fillet with the garlic sauce, a grilled fish with garlic. When you're in the mood for a little activity, rent a snorkel gear and swim from the beach, or take a snorkeling tour at a distance from the nearby reefs or "el cielo" beach On the beach there is a wide variety of water activities available, such as kayaking by the sea, Paddle board or take a parachute tour.

Great spot to relax. Nice beach, friendly staff, gentle sandy turquoise waters. Food was good, beer was cold. Not packed in like sardines - felt like there was space to relax. The adjacent scuba/snorkel place was awesome. My daughter and I did a scuba discovery trip on the Colombia reef. Alex (Alejandro) showed us the ropes then took us out with a small group of snorklers. The boat captain knew where to stop b/c we wasted no time finding fish and sea life. Alejandro really took care of us down there. Will be back!
