I went to Leighton buzzard Brewery on Sunday 1st. They had a record sale, good selection of beers and a fabulous Indian Street food lady selling snack foods such as peas cachoori ( excuse the spelling) keema curry, cauliflower curry, chick peas, lentils and many more condiments all of which I have not tasted since visiting India. The atmosphere was relaxed and accepting of children and dogs. Well worth a visit.

We've been coming here for years and sadly didn't think to write a Trip Advisor review sooner. We're so lucky to have this brilliant, old fashioned shop in our market town. Tucked away in the cobbled alley, the owner and staff are so knowledgeable about their coffee - beans or ground, roasted on the premises. Waste free - reuse the brown paper bags for small discount - the selection is fantastic. They also have a huge range of loose leaf teas. A few years ago I bought a monthly coffee subscription for my husband, which he loved. Great to support an independent foodie gem.

On 9th May 1848 Parliament passed a private act to allow for common land owned by the church to be awarded to the then Leighton Buzzard Urban District Council “as a place of recreation for the inhabitants of Leighton Buzzard and the neighbourhood”. In 1974 the land transferred ownership from the Urban District Council to the newly formed Parish Council of Leighton-Linslade, who retain ownership today. Ollie Vees is the Tiki Cocktail destination in Leighton Buzzard. Our Polynesian themed hideaway bar offers intrigue and interest in every corner, among the bamboo walls we have primitive tiki carvings, original kitsch art, nautical artifacts and oceanic curios. Under dim lighting you can lose all sense of time, escape the pressures of everyday life, and sink into a vintage inspired tiki cocktail. Many of our drink creations hail from the 1930s and 40s. You can almost hear waves lapping at your feet. We have DJs at weekends spinning the best exotica, lounge, rock ‘n’ roll, ska, mod, jazz, beat and beyond. Never had a bad beer in here and that's a high compliment to any pub. They take great care of the beer on offer. Always welcome and accommodating to anyone particularly the local community and a t clubs. The only beer I've ever not liked in here is because of not liking the beer not the quality of the beer! Pork pies are on point. This is a proper pub and proper pub experience!

Over 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows for all to enjoy, with heronry visible from the Visitor Centre providing a secure breeding ground for around ten pairs of grey herons each spring. Woodland walks with fairy trail, Giant's Chair, family cycling and horse-riding routes, dogs welcome. Tree Tops cafe situated in the Visitor Centre. We run a number of events throughout the year - see our website for details. Rushmere Country Park is managed by The Greensand Trust on a not for profit basis - all funds raised are invested into the running of the park.
This place is great for all ages, couples, friends and families. Easy access to the car park which has a fair few spaces. There are lots of different walking routes, with beautiful scenery. There is a cafe at the start and also a cafe further down the route if you head towards the river/lake. (Toliets as well) Best time to visit is obviously on a sunny day, and after lunch time! Mornings are always super busy. Car park is not free and is payable on exit

Tiddenfoot Waterside Park is a disused quarry once owned by the London Brick Company sending sand to building sites all over England. Quarrying began here in the 1920s and ceased in the 1960s since then wildlife and plants have reclaimed the site into what is now there today. Tiddenfoot Waterside Park is owned by Central Bedfordshire Council and managed on a day-to-day basis by the Greensand Trust all overseen by The Friends of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park a group formed in 2011 and pivotal in securing the Parks Community Green Flag Award. The Park now contains a lake, areas of semi-improved acid and neutral grassland, scrub, woodland and a popular plantation. At approximately 13.4 ha, the park is roughly triangular in shape and is bordered on the east by the Grand Union Canal. The site is a designated County Wildlife Site. The site plays host to the annual Leighton Linslade Canal Festival arranged by Leighton Linslade Town Council and there are events throughout the year. Fishing on the lake is under a lease with the Leighton Buzzard Angling Club.
