The park is suitable for both: admirers of active and calm recreation. There are children playgrounds for all age groups, road for roller skating and pedestrian roads, cafes, parking lot and toilets in the park. The park is opened all year round. In winter park is an excellent place for distant skiing on a lighted trail. The access is very convenient; there is a parking place for 200 cars at the park. In 2010 a panoramic tower was opened here. The tower is 33, 5 m high and it reveals unforgettable view of Jurmala. The tower has 12 balconies on different levels so everyone can choose the height.
This is a great area for anyone! A nice loop walk partly along a boardwalk, tree-trekking for all ages (and reasonably priced), the tower for great tree-top views, ice cream stands (reasonably priced)! Not far from Majori Station and close to the beach! A must see if you are in the area!

Great flat beach to walk on, though it was pretty windy with a brisk chill from the Baltic Sea. Paid parking as most streets near are to narrow to allow parking. Nice white sand and plenty of space to spread out and some recreational cement animals and volleyball nets in some areas.

and I hope that museum will be open on 15th of February 2020 when we were in Riga again :) Never expect how interesting and ancient is a process of fishing! I wish to the owner to promote their museum by any kind of actions.

Open doors, lovely interior, services twice a week. Often the concerts played in the Dome of Riga are given here, too.

I've been quite a few bogs, but this is probably the best one. It is extraordinary to walk along the bog trail after the snow. What a distinctive landscape.

Easy walk from Dubulti railway station, free entry, beautifully restored, very nice staff. Some translations of Azpazija's work available in several languages. Good touchscreen info in the room behind the reception, too. Park your bicycles in the yard, though, inside the white fence.

Jurmala is easily reached by train from Riga and Jomas St is the centre of town. Very clean with a nice friendly feel. Lots of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. We got off the train at Majori, walked half way down Jomas, diverted onto the beach and then re-joined Jomas for lunch then walked the remaining half. From there it was easier to get back to Riga from Dzintari Stn. Nice day trip.
