Moving and sobering at the courage of the Maqui who would not submit to surrender or the tyranny of the Nazi occupiers. The exhibits were powerful and I was grateful they had explanations in English. I left the museum with some new historical heroes. Viva La Maqui. Thank you to the museum for it's preservation of this important history to France and the world in my humble opinion.

J'ai aimé la musée et le parc avec l'aire de jeux. There are many animals like ducks, swans, geese in the river and deers and other animals that are far from the castle and you have to walk for about 35 minutes to get to.

The site of the Caves de la Chartreuse will be renovated from September 2020, for a period of 15 months. The new tourist site will reconcile spaces to be renovated, with strong security constraints, the conservation of the Chartreuse in the longest liqueur cellar in the world and museographic trails completely redesigned. During this period, the tourist site will be closed. The shop and tasting areas will remain open, without prior reservation. The Voiron store is open during lockdown: Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10h to 12h30 and from 14h to 18h30.

We loved this little museum in Grenoble. Entrance is free, and they give you a great audioguide, also for free. The interpretation is very well done, the site is very well maintained and it was really interesting to walk around the excavations and see the different historic periods at the same time. My 5 year old had a blast there as well. It is very child friendly. They gave my son a map with images and throughout our walk-thought we had to find all these special objects or markers. He loved it! And the staff was really nice and welcoming as well. Highly recommend it if you have a sejour in Grenoble.
