Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery is one of the UK's leading bespoke jewellery companies. Founded in 1998, it is headquartered in an award-winning refurbished Tudor barn in the North Hertfordshire village of Halls Green, incorporating a design studio, coffee shop, workshop and showroom. In addition, a retail showroom and design studio can be found in Green Street, central Cambridge and Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill. Recognised as an innovative and industry leading company, Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery was selected as one of the first 20 companies worldwide to hold a Fairtrade gold licence. It was also selected as the Fairtrade Foundation's choice of ‘luxury bespoke jeweller’. Membership of the Responsible Jewellery Council soon followed and the business was the first independent to be certified by both organisations.
My now husband first visited HK bespoke jewellery back in 2016 when he met Tom. He designed a unique personal ring to my husbands specification using some stones out of a ring my Nan had given me. The ring is perfect and I love it. When the time had finally come for us to organise our wedding rings, we headed back to HK bespoke jewellery. This time we were introduced to Alec, again we had a couple of rings that I had been given from my Nan and was hoping to use. Alec managed to incorporate everything I asked for and he designed a ring to go around my engagement ring so they would become one. He went above all my expectations and absolutely love it. My husband was also over the moon with his and they even put in some of his fathers ashes into his ring, so we now have perfect rings all with our own sentimental value. I would like to say a massive thank you to Tom and Alec for there patience, professionalism, knowledge and amazing customer service. I can not recommend HK bespoke jewellery enough, and we will definitely be back in the future.

Water Mill, Museum, and Nature Reserve. A working watermill with a collection of historic rural objects, open to the public on most Sundays during the summer usually free admission unless there is a special event. The adjacent Nature Reserve and car park is open most days of the year.
Lovely family day out with some interesting things to see. Enjoyed the cafe cake and drinks too. Well priced.

Parish Church of St Mary's, Hitchin. Church of England, Anglican.
St Mary's Church is located on the edge of the river next to Hitchin Market. There are lots of nice views of the church from the riverside so make sure you take time to enjoy the scenery. You can go in the church under normal circumstances and the grounds are open to walk around and explore the gravestones. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

North Hertfordshire Museum brings together the collections from the former Letchworth and Hitchin Museums, and illustrates life in the area from prehistory to the present day, with thousands of fascinating objects, and cutting edge interactive displays. The displays include paintings by the Camden Town artists Spencer Gore and William Ratcliffe; a Victorian pharmacy, and rare football items, including Bert Trautmann’s neckbrace and Stanley Matthews’ boots. If you are interested in art, archaeology, natural history, local history or military history, this is the museum for you. We have a superb new Learning Centre for workshops and activities, and a well-appointed Local Studies Centre. There is also a café serving freshly prepared food, and Fair Trade coffee and tea.
Great to have such a brilliant museum on our doorstep. Interesting displays with interactives for the children (and the adults). Also, a temporary exhibition that changes regularly, at the moment it is beautiful prints by Rembrandt. We had some delicious cake from the cafe and so many goodies to buy from the shop. Not to be missed!

We stopped here on our way back from Wrest Park and had the most fabulous dinner. I had the vegetarian Thai curry and my partner had the Cajun chicken burger. Both dishes were packed full of flavour and generous portions. Would not hesitate to stop here again if we are passing. Love coming across little gems like this pub is! Highly recommend it.
