This is a beautiful and unique temple that is probably nothing like other temples you have seen in Thailand. The bells are contribute to the serene atmosphere. There are a couple of issues you need to be aware. There is a wide open space in front of the temple where you have to take off your shoes and depending on whether it is a really hot day or raining could be quite inconvenient, Also as some have pointed, there are mosquitoes in the evening so take the usual precaution.

I took the tour to Kho Hong mountain through the hotel I was staying in. We went by car and the day was having a slight gentle rain. It is a beautiful place where you you can enjoy Hat Yai from a high place. In the top there are whirship places with temples. Easily you can see Buddhism, Chinese, and hindosim religions emerge together in different statues. You need comfortable shoes to climb the stairs to different temples. It is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Hat Yai.

The Central Mosque iin the Songkhla Province – dubbed Thailand's Taj Mahal. It sits halfway along the main highway connecting Hat Yai and Songkhla city. The modern monument, inspired by classical Mughal architecture, boasts a symmetrical design with a central gold dome atop a large square building flanked by four detached minarets overlooking a large rectangular water feature.

Big, beautiful and lively in the evenings, this park is more than a park with a large female Buddha statue offering stunning views of the city as well as a cable car to the top of the mountain where a wat offers stunning views of the region. The park fills up with folks from the city gather every evening to picnic near the water fountain so we recommend going in the afternoon and ending with a picnic of your own from the food stalls all over the place. Enjoy!

It took us 8 minutes walk from Central Festival Shopping Centre to this night market. The night market is a very lively one with many muslim tourists who came from Malaysia, I guess. There are many stalls which sell mainly clothings at level 1. There is a food court at level 2 that spoils you with many choices of local delicacies. However, there are many people than seats for you to enjoy the food. We enjoyed shopping and eating at this lively night market.

They have a large number of vendors selling a big variety of local Thai food and snacks. The market also has a campaign for the environment as the sellers use bamboo tubes, coconut shells, and clay pots instead of using plastic bags.

Located close to the Bus Terminal, do pay a visit to this mall before leaving town. They have free shuttle bus going to/from Central Hat Yai ❨opp Lee Gardens Hotel❩ downtown. This mall just feels like any other CentralFestival in the country, but wayyyy better than other malls in Hat Yai. There are two foodcourts: one on the ground floor as you enter and the other on the top floor. I preferred the one on top floor as there are more choices and operate on a cash card basis, not to mention the view of Hat Yai. They have some southern Thai food, which is a blend of central Thai and Malay food. Unforgetable. If you have a lot of time to spare, there is a cinema and skating rink here. Tips: unlike the malls in Bangkok, the security here do search your bags, so I suggest to travel light if you could. If you couldnt wait for the free shuttle bus back to downtown, there are plenty of songthaew ❨most pass by Kim Yong Market downtown, 10 Baht❩ and tuktuks outside. Or just Grab a taxi. Happy shopping.
