I'll add my vote the already 150+ Excellent votes for the GTPL. Eric Lashley, the director, is terrific, and so is Dana Hendrix, the Fine Arts Librarian. The place hosts many, many public events, has a coffee shop inside with booths to wrapping around the library's book, art and music and periodical shelving. Upstairs there are several rooms for public functions, large and small, constantly-changing art and sculpture shows and a second-hand bookstore. The library produces monthly concerts, and hosts concerts for other local music organizations. It has a Steinway piano, plus chairs and stands suitable to professional music ensembles.

A store selling unique, but cheap gifts.
Stroll along the square and smell the coffee form some of the shops or have lunch in any of the many local restaurants while antiquing or have a glass of wine in Grape Creek winery and listen to some live music back on the outside deck. You can rent bikes at the CVB or take pictures on the lawn. It's just a pleasant experience all the way around. Don't forget to stop and pick up some bakery items in either of the 2 bakeries! You will be pleasantly surprised!

San Gabriel Park is a beautiful, relaxing place to walk, jog, picnic, play with the kids, or just nap under the giant spreading Live Oak trees. There are tables, BBQ pits, playscapes and miles of walkways. It never seems too crowded - even on holidays. There is plenty of parking and you can even park on the side of the road that borders the park on the opposite side of the river.

We are a Texas Winery making Texas wines. We are located on the Historical Square in Downtown Georgetown Texas in a 130 year old building. We offer tastings, wine by the glass and small food items.
My husband and I stopped in here on Valentine's day on the way to Austin. We each did a tasting, let me tell you!! I did not try one that was not excellent! We also ordered a meat/cheese tray to go with it. I loved that you could also try out their dessert port with the wine tasting. The 2 ladies working were very helpful throughout our visit. Before we left we joined there Wine club and bought several bottles. The Red Moscato might be my favorite wine ever. We have been to lots of wine bars, Italy, etc.. but this is the tastiest! Thank yall for great visit!

Swimming hole just North of town on the San Gabriel River.
Had a blast. Went on a Friday evening. Was not crowded. Had a good swim, thrilled Cliff jumping, serenity standing under the water falls. Spent close to 3 hours. Worth visiting.

Arthritis fused Robert Williamson's lower right leg at a 90 degree angle. Doctors at the time (1819) attached a peg leg to his bent knee. "Three-Legged Willie" later became a Texas power broker; Williamson County was named for him (although he never visited) and in 2013 a life-size three-legged bronze statue was unveiled across from the county courthouse.
