A haven for the arts since 2010, the Hidden Garden Art Gallery offers quality original art in many mediums. HG is the largest of its kind in Guanacaste, more than 60 artists on exhibit, and 15 rooms full of paintings, sculptures and diverse artistic expressions. The gallery has 3,500 square feet of wall space, and more than 400 pieces on display. Rooms are coordinated by styles, ranging from geometric abstraction, to typical art, to underwater images. The Gallery is also home to the permanent exhibits of our resident artist Carlos Hiller underwater scenes, Susan Adams, Rebeca Alvarado Soto and many more. Our location, designed with a marvelous architecture, is the perfect setting for our cultural center. Our mission is to strengthen and heighten local artists' works and share the beauty and culture of Costa Rica.
Specializing in artistic expression of Costa Rica, the Hidden Garden Art Gallery should not be overlooked. Whatever your tastes in art, the Hidden Gallery has something from a local artist to suit your needs. Owners Greg and Charlene Golojuch are wonderful hosts and curators of this collection.

We are a free information center for residents and tourists of Samara & Carrillo and the surrounding area. We offer FREE booking service for accommodations, tours, and transportation. Please feel free to contact us. Thank you, Brenda Be Happy, Have Fun!
Brenda was a pleasure to work with! She was very patient with all of my thoughts and ideas, and used all of my feedback to put together a fantastic private sunset catamaran tour for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. Brenda also provided lots of great information for the Samara area, and even after our tour was over she continued to be very helpful and even passed along photos from the captain of the boat of our wonderful experience. If you are visiting the Samara area, I highly recommend reaching out to Brenda if you need help or have any questions at all! Her services are free, and she will go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful trip.

This church is best known for the 1635 appearance of the country's patron saint, the Black Virgin. An annual pilgimage takes place in August.
Great feeling to say hi to la Madre de todos los Costarricenses, no matter where we are. Each trip to Costa Rica if possible we visit la basilica, is like refueling our Faith for the mother de los Ticos y Ticas.

Every day around five the latest ( you can come here all day) it’s good to come to the beach and watch the sunset while having a beer or even better while jumping the waves . It’s a very natural kept beach so no typically white sand to sit . You will find yourself a small log to sit on. High tide is following the sunset so there wo t be no dry spot . Make sure you bring only a towel or secure your belongings up high. It’s definitely worth it!!!!

We offer educational, due diligence tours of the Guanacaste area for people who are considering relocating to Costa Rica.
Wide extensive beach with volcanic sand, so on the darker side. The beach is kept tidy, as we witnessed staff collecting the debris and vegetation each day. We loved watching the pelicans diving for the fish. Fantastic how the hotels blend into the environment, rather than stand out. There is a lack of good restaurants if you haven't got a car, our hotel offered a restaurant that was ok (Bosque de la Mer). Aqua was a short walk down the beach and served excellent food and smoothies but I wasn't sure about walking down the beach in the dark. We went to Hotel del Sueno a couple times, the food was outstanding and a few minutes walk just up the road from our hotel.

My wife and I recently visited La Fortuna and Arenal to see the volcano and beautiful waterfall. After our stay, we took the ferry across Lake Arenal on our way to Monteverde. The boat ride across the lake was quite tranquil and the Arenal Volcano provided the most scenic of backdrops!! Beautiful views surrounded us from each of 360 degrees. The countryside was lush and the rolling hills were breathtaking! Quite the bonus on our transfer between locations!

We came out to visit this beach and fell in love with it right away. The first thing I noticed was the locals out there surf fishing. We decided to go for a long walk Northman’s we were all alone. We say a flock of vultures on the beach along with a,few monkeys in the trees. There was a lot of bio diversity in a short walk. I can’t wait to go back and visit again. I felt safe on the beach but was forewarned about the thieves that frequent this beach. It’s a shame because I think this is likely the biggest issue hurting business growth here. Swim with a partner as there are riptides.
