We discovered this beach at the end of our day driving the Wild Atlantic way. In hindsight, we should have driven straight here and just hanged out at the beach. We arrived here without any beach gear (swim suits, towels etc), but it didn't matter. We were just happy to walk or sit on the gorgeous white sandy beach, play in the crystal clear water and admire the beauty of the landscape. We had only allowed ourselves an hour here, next time we'll make sure that we can spend most of the day to relax at the beach.

Johnny and Annie started creating unique hand crafted jewellery in 1973. Since then the business has developed with the help of their son Jonathan who is carrying on the family tradition and now manages the business. Their full collection of jewellery can be seen at their flagship store in Clifden, where there is a full open plan workshop to see the jewellery being made. They also have a small retail shop at the Cliffs of Moher.
I absolutely love this store. The pieces are gorgeous and incredibly well made and the customer service is fantastic whether you are in store or buying online. Each order I've gotten has a personalized handwritten note and a chocolate with it and once I even got a free pendant with my order that I usually wear every day. I cannot wait to be able to go back to Ireland one day, I'll definitely be stopping by this store.

Loved this beach. It’s hard not to. We had sun for a few hours and then had light rain and we still stayed on the beach playing ball. It was just gorgeous

Cead Mile Failte – “A Hundred Thousand Welcomes” to Keogh’s Irish Gifts and to our little corner of Ireland – Oughterard, Co. Galway! We are a family-run Irish Gift Shop on Main Street, Oughterard established in 1945 by John P. Keogh. John’s son Henry, and wife Mary, have carried on operating the shop for the past 30 years, along with their three children Oisin, Siofra and Bonnie. Read more about
This is a store with everything! Our B&B hostess suggested we look there for a belt. My husband forgot his and we couldn't find one American-sized in other stores. The proprietor of Keoghs disappeared into the storage room and came out with the perfect belt at an excellent price. We browsed and found some great souvenirs while we waited. We were in Oughterard for 3 days and were in Keoghs at least 3 times. We felt very welcome and found so many treasures. This shop is one of the reasons we would move to Oughterard if we could.
