Collingwood Olive Oil Co.

Took my fellow foodie friend Michelle here and got the saying tour. She said it was the best tour she’d ever been on. It’s a really cool little store. You can taste test any of the many olive oils and video vinegars and the owners have some great pairing recommendations. I am addicted to the lime olive oil/ pomegranate quince vinegar combo. I have it on salad at least 4X a week The orange olive oil and chocolate balsamic are delicious on vanilla ice cream There are too many delicious combos to name The owners will tell you about where they get their oil and how it is extracted etc. It’s very interesting Bring my sll your goodie friends when they come to visit. They won’t be disappointed

I received a gift card from my family because they know I treat butter gallery as my local art gallery with my regular visits. It's great to chat with Andrea and Suzanne who made my selection easy by bringing pieces to our home for trial. Two or three paintings at a time gave us the opportunity to see them in different lights, get a sense of how they made us feel over a few days and get the opinion of friends about our choices. We are very pleased with our choice even though it was difficult because there were several we really liked. butter gallery displays a variety of landscape, abstract, animal art- big and small; beautiful jewellery, sculpture and metalwork. Worth the visit! Definitely worth a visit.

This is a wonderful place to sit and relax in or quietly walk through. All the plants, trees, water features, benches, etc. have been dedicated by families to people who have passed away over the years.

The Candy Factory

Reviewed By rnr636 - Elora, Canada

There is something for everyone with a sweet tooth. Loads of candies of all types, even sugar free. Peanut brittle, fudge, sponge toffee, old fashioned, lollipops, almond barks and jellies are a few. Then there is the chocolate, which also comes in sugar free choices. Everything you could imagine in chocolate plus a few you could not like chocolate Pringles which I did not try. There are assorted filled chocolates, heavenly truffles, chocolate covered Oreos, nut clusters and more. And they have lots of novelty chocolate shapes and letters and trays or boxes for gifts...even chocolate greeting cards. They will also do custom chocolates or gift baskets for weddings, holidays or whatever occasion. There are a lot of great stocking stuffers too. A lot of their wares are made on site and you can also view this process. It is handicapped accessible. Do not go at lunch time though as there is a high school directly across the road and the place is swamped with teenagers at that time.

Side Launch Brewing Company

2016 Canadian Brewery of the Year. We brew award winning craft beer that is both wonderfully complex and highly drinkable. Our current offerings include a Bavarian style Wheat Ale, a Canadian Pale Ale, Dark Lager (Munich Dunkel), & Mountain Lager (Helles). Our retail store and tasting bar are open 7 days a week. Tours of the brewery are available on weekends only. We look forward to seeing you!

The size of the facility was very surprising to us. For being a small town craft brewery, it is absolutely huge, bright and clean with huge windows showing off the sparkling stainless brewing tanks and machinery. Also, my fondness for the beer brewed there, particularly the wheat beer, made it a destination. We sat outside in a designated patio area where large heaters were supplied at our picnic table, music was provided and we enjoyed our time there very much. The only disappointment was in anticipating something about the history of the brewery, particularly about the name and how it came to represent the beer.

Georgian Trail

Reviewed By 2CubawithLove - Collingwood, Canada

Since retiring to Collingwood in 2016, it has been one of my greatest pleasures to daily cycle the beautiful landscapes along the Georgian Trail and its many interesting side trails from mountain to shoreline. Nature 's welcome embraces you at every turn. Some days I peddle across town to Sunset Park via the shoreline trails, past the Inushtuk to stop a while and sit on one of the numerous benches with a delicious ice cream from the on site ice cream vendor. Other trips have included rides to Thornbury to the west with stops along the way such as taking g in the history of the area thanks to the Heritage Museum at Craigleith, to snap photos along the way and challenge these aging knees with a gradual grade incline and wind resistance past Georgian Peaks. There is always something interesting to explore and e experience along the trails but if I told you then that may rib you of some of your joy in the discovering. Welcome to Collingwood , Thornbury area along the wonderfull Georgian Trail it's yours to discover! Enjoy and please be respectful to leave nothing behind but your gratitude????

great service; my first choice was sold out but offered two great alternatives. Bought them both. This location is about to move up the street so getting down on some supplies. Offered option to order first choice by mail soon. When finished my tea purchase, asked for place for coffee for my husband and was offered name of two close locations, including great friendly directions. First choice was excellent suggestion. Chose place as romantic activity as my husband was very patient and helped with suggestion. Then went off for coffee with him.
