This magnificent Cathedral has stood at the centre of Chichester for over 900 years. With unique architecture from each century of its life, this Cathedral is both ancient and modern, where original medieval features sit alongside world famous contemporary artworks. Chichester Cathedral is open every day from 10.00am - 4.00pm. We have made a number of changes to ensure that you can visit our historic site safely. Measures in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 include the provision of hand sanitiser stations, an enhanced cleaning regime and all Cathedral staff and volunteers will be wearing face masks. We are also delivering a revised schedule of services. Further details about attending for public worship can be found on our website.
We were really warmly welcomed upon arrival and spent a delightful hour looking at the varied monuments, sculptures and artwork. A balance of ancient and modern, the Cathedral displays magnificent stained glass windows (one designed by Chagall) as well as modern tapestries and a lovely Bronze of Christ emerging from the tomb. Cafe is well run and there is a cheerful atmosphere everywhere.

A really good hike along the nature trail, passing centuries old trees and a really steep incline which is well worth the effort for the views! We visited during gale force winds and not the best weather but the views were still fantastic and we could see all the way to the Solent.

We came across the Bishop's Palace Gardens whilst walking the walls at Chichester. This is a lovely place for a rest and contemplation. A wonderful collection of trees and shrubs

If you have time for a diversion this'll be worthwhile. Truly remarkable mediaeval site, made slightly modern, and be sure to seek the beautiful stained glass window commemorating a US airman who died during the Battle of Britain.

Four of us had a meal here on Monday night. Haloumi burgers x2 and Eastgate specials plus chunky chips and salad. Im not really a burger person but these were fantastic. The service is always friendly and fun in here and the pub has just been decorated. No problems with social distancing as all measures are in place imcluding table service and really deep cleaning of each table and all chairs when guests leave. A pub that is certainly top of its game in these covid times.

Medmerry is the most beautiful, wild, remote and beautiful place on the South Coast. The range of bird life and fauna around you, the spectacular views across The Solent to the Isle of Wight and the sense of peace and quiet make this a very special place.

We all love this park, my children and I. In the summer there's the beautiful sound of the cricketers in a place that couldn't get much more English within sight of the Cathedral spire. There's lots of space for little people to run around - chasing squirrels has been a firm favourite. There's also the delightful budgie house, a bowling green and of course the lovely playground area, with sand pit and younger kids area, and plenty to climb on for the slightly older ones. It's a great space and there to be enjoyed.

Open year round, Pagham Harbour is a glorious and peaceful reserve and is an internationally important wetland site for wildlife. The big, sheltered inlet at it's heart attracts ducks, geese and wading birds flighting to and fro. With a wealth of wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and a rich historical heritage, it is a great place to get away from it all.
Excellent visitor centre, friendly, helpful staff, lots of info. You can watch the birds at the feeders from inside the centre.

The Oxmarket Centre of Arts is a volunteer-run charity whose mission is to promote art and support artists in a professional and inclusive manner. All our exhibitions, over 150 every year, are free to the public, to encourage people in our community to engage with art.
Delightful little gallery with frequently changing exhibitions - items for sale, plus cards and small gifts. Free entry. (Tucked off the north side of East Street in an old church.)
