As a “transplant” in Florida, having a place to hang out with other cigar people in such a beautiful, chill atmosphere is important to me. The owner of this place Abe and his crew, A.J., Briggs, Ana make this place a home away from home. Knowledgeable, helpful and they remember your name.

Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands

We enjoyed this park and it's 1.5 miles of board walks. You may want to bring masks as you are on a board walk and sometimes people come from the opposite direction. They also close these parks earlier then sunset so arrive early. Wakodahatcheee is nearby and also very nice. I would recommend doing both the same day. They close Wakodahatcheee about 6:50 the night we went so arrive early. Both parks have very good views of birds and water.

We visited in late Sept during the pandemic. As such, just about everything was closed except for the market itself, although they did have food carts available outside. There was a line out the door, but it moved fairly quickly. They supply gloves to all before entering. Everyone must wear a mask & they ask that if you touch something, you purchase it. The place is loaded with produce of every variety, as well as dressings, honey, fresh-baked bread, dried fruit, fresh OJ, eggs, wine, cheese, pasta, and too much more to list! Everything looked fresh & of good quality. We visited after a trip to their Animal Edventure Park, so visiting both was well worth the drive from Plantation! It's unfortunate that they aren't able to have all the other activities that they usually have this time of year.

NOBO Brewing Company

Reviewed By WilliamELewisJr - Fort Lauderdale, United States

Returning to Vero Beach after a few days in Fort Lauderdale, I found myself replying to a Facebook message inviting me to visit the food trucks at the NOBO Brewing Company in Boynton Beach. A fan of “street food” and supporting local business, I decided to make the stop. A neighborhood themed brewery, I quickly learned that the name NOBO was derived from the term “north of Boynton” Beach. With indoor and outdoor seating, several food trucks were on location to serve hungry patrons. With over a dozen selections, I started with the “Caffeinated Jalapeno” Blonde Ale. A coffee fan, I decided on a beer in which I could relate. Something with coffee. With a 5.5 percent ABV, it was a decent choice with just the right amount of kick – the Jalapeno – along with freshly brewed coffee. Neither flavor overpowered the other. “What’s My HAZE Again?” was my second choice with an 8.4 percent ABV. A hazy double IPA, it was an even better choice that the Caffeinated Jalapeno. Interesting taste. Third and final choice was the Boynton Blonde. A classic Blonde ale with orange blossom honey for a touch of citrus and sweetness, it boasted an APV of 5.4 percent. In order, my favorites were: “What’s My HAZE Again?” followed by the “Caffeinated Jalapeno” and the “Boynton Blonde.” I haven’t visited many craft breweries but did enjoy my time at NOBO Brewing Company. The staff were friendly and polite, and – most importantly – the place was clean. I would visit again. William E. Lewis, Jr. Vero Beach, Florida

The owner and brewer, Chip, couldn't be nicer! We definitely got a warm welcoming and felt the good vibes as soon as we arrived. This is a very unassuming looking place in a sort of warehouse type building, but its a friendly place full of friendly people. Even though they don't have a kitchen, there is a licensed caterer that comes in around 5-5:30 and cooks a special item every night. We happened to be there for pierogi night and they were so delicious we ordered a second helping. The beers are all made right there and you can see the vats. They also have a selection of other craft beers in bottles and cans. We love the buzztime trivia network and , wow, they even had that! We spent a long evening enjoying new beers and playing trivia and getting the locals to join in. They also have scheduled activities and we watched them doing paintings in a class. We will definitely be heading back there when we get back to that area!
