One of the few surviving five and dime stores, Bachmann's has been an integral part of downtown Central Lake since 1942. The historic building still has its original wood floors and the ornate old vault from when it was a bank. Bachmann's motto is, "If we don't have it, you don't need it!" Name it, you can find it here. Currently owned by the third Bachmann generation, you can tell how much they love their store. Great service, free gift wrapping, and friendly knowledgeable clerks make Bachmann's stand above the rest. Add a great selection of toys, gifts, resort wear, souvenirs, and a legendary penny candy counter--and you have a one-of-a-kind shopping destination!
This place has a lot of character! everything from hardware, kitchen and garden supplies, to gifts for all kinds of people, and budgets, and a fantastic toy section, with a great mix of modern and retro toys!.. make sure you have time to look around.. locally owned, and a wonderful staff that is always ready to greet and help you! I highly recommend this place.. and I know I will be back.. Oh my daughter loves her glowing singing princess wand! :) I also got some magnifying glasses, and barbecue skewers I couldn't find anywhere else, and a mesh screen for the kitchen sink drain .

Come out and see our beautiful orchard and views of Lake Michigan. We are a family fruit farm, with pick your own cherries and raspberries. Our farm bakery makes fresh pies daily along with hot coffee and donuts. Montmorency tart cherry juice is always in season. We have a large parking lot for easy buss and RV parking.
We were visiting Charlevoix and this was a fun activity. We picked peaches and also did the sunflower trail. Very reasonably priced and the staff was friendly and helpful. They followed all the COVID procedures and we felt completely safe. There is a U-Pick stand outside where you pay and get the bucket, so you don't even have to go in the market.

Adjacent to the beautiful and friendly town of Bellaire. Our family visits weekly. I was intimidated by the trails several years ago since I can easily get "lost in the woods", yet they have been wonderfully marked and a map is available nearly every 1/2 mile or so. Miles and miles of paths to explore. I fell in love with Kensington Metropark and Island Lake State Recreation area in Milford and Brighton, Michigan more than 20 years ago. I thought I couldn't replace those places. I think I have.

This place is awesome!!! The people are so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate our family. Jack King, one of the owner’s sons, took us on a guided tour of the whole orchard. He is the best! We went July 21, 2020, and the cherries and raspberries were plentiful. They also have a very nice store where you can buy all things cherry! My kids loved the cherry soda!!! We also bought doughnuts that were to die for...fried fresh to order!!! Get them topped with cinnamon and sugar!

Royal Farms, Inc is a boutique-like farm market located right off of N US 31 in Ellsworth, MI. We offer a large variety of fresh produce from our farm, homemade baked goods made in house, yummy cherry products like dried cherries and cherry preserves and much more! We have a greenhouse that is loaded with flowers during the spring and beautiful mums in the fall. We recently opened our new wine and hard cider tasting room located in the back of the market. It is a great place to relax, grab a snack and a glass of wine, of course! Stop in and see us, we are open from May-December 24th.
I dined here for lunch with my wife and 2 kids on July 20, 2020. We were driving to Petosky from Glen Arbor and we were looking for a lunch spot. We sort of just stumbled upon this place by accident and I am so glad we did. This place has a winery and a restaurant in the back and all kinds of nice things to see here. We had a fantastic lunch and even took a homemade cherry pie home. Cherry pie if my absolute fav so i consider myself an expert and this is the very best cherry pie I ever had in my life. I will go out of my way top stop back here again for lunch no question.
