this distinguished location and place adventure fibrimal horse horse and grocer degrees with local guides are ask additional mobile +96892360136 phone number and thank you very much
We booked a 3h canyoning trip in advance (contact via WhatsApp with Rashid +96892360136). There are two tours: A 5 hour tour through the snake canyon and a shorter tour through another canyon close by. The longer tour bigger jumps and longer abseiling. But the canyon didn’t carry enough water thou we did the 3 h tour. We had a great tour and felt very safe. Our guide took us afterwards to his home where we had lunch which was delicious. (Bring long shorts for the home visit to be polite). We highly recommend the tour to everybody who visits this area and is a little adventurous.

You can camp wherever you wishes in amazing landscapes. Or stay at the Bait Bimah place where you will find guides for hikings and canyoing. Beautiful wadi and not too difficult walks with young children if you start by the end of the little snake canyon (in the opposite way of the great little snake canyon canyoing pathway). You can walk there, cross the wadi, swim in natural swimming pools and practice very easy canyoing with youbg children (2 and a half and 5 years old). To get there you must have a 4x4 otherwise it is impossible.

At just over 2000 meter. Jebel Shams Resort is ideally situated a few minutes walk from the famous "Grand Canyon of Oman" and a visit to us on Oman's highest Mountain at approximately 3000 Meter is great place from which to enjoy the mountain. A warm welcome is ready for all those weary adventurers who visit it. Enjoy a perfect starry night sky outside one of our Arabic Rents or Chalets and enjoy a warming campfire at night. During the day there are lots of lovely walks and treks to suit all levels of fitness. For those who want to just relax then there is a swimming pool and lovely views of the surrounding stunning mountain vista.
jebel Shams is a mountain located in northeastern Oman north of Al Hamra town. It is the highest mountain of the Hajar range and the country. The mountain is a popular sightseeing area located 240 km from Muscat

We drove to Jebel Shams for a couple of days of walking in the mountains. We didn't do what most people seem to come here to do. We had decided in advance that the Balcony Walk probably wasn't for us - it looked a bit too busy and a bit too scary in places. We spent the first day following the W4 walk along the top of the canyon. It's a steady walk requiring only a moderate level of fitness. We didn't see another walker on the W4 route all day, so I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quiet. The views are breathtaking and there are plenty of great spots to sit and have lunch. On the second day, we picked up a trail behind one of the resorts in Jebel Shams, walked it for a while before going off piste to explore the nearby gullies. It was a bit more strenuous with some slow going on the rocky descents, but still accessible to most.

Its awesome experience. You need 4×4 wheel drive..SUV to cross after the police checkpoint. If you have sedan then you may park it before the checkpoint and rent and SUV.we stayed at Salassel Guesthouse. We were 21 adults and 7 kids( 5 families). The guesthouse was neat, had kitchen with gas connections. You may carry some utensils (1 provided there wasn't enough). We had rice cooker, vegetables, basmati rice... Open barbecue was available. There were restaurants just outside the Guesthouse. We went to a coffee shop( diagonally loca

I am surprised the review for this place are that low,in my opinion Nizwa in general was my favorite place of Oman. I visited the souq after visiting the fort and having mishkak in front of the market carpark, it is not marketed towards tourists hence why i liked it as i wanted to see what the locals buy. on Thursday evening, the busy area was the fish market, we also found our way to the date market, the staff was so friendly to explain the different dates varieties, they also do fresh tahini that they used to dip the dates. it looks like it is also a meetup place, there is a couch on the left side when you enter the shop and the local stop by, eat dates and drink tea, we were invited to sit down and had a very nice time with them, im not sure whether they all know each other or they are just friendly to each other. While walking around the market we were also stopped by locals few time that were drinking tea and they just wanted to share the cup with us, or sometime we just say hi to people chilling and they just give you a cup to drink tea. Make sure you buy the date over there, we only bought few pack thinking that we will easily find another date shop in Muscat but we didnt, all we could find after asking local was the prepack box with dates mainly from Saoudie (apparently december is not the season but the date in Nizwa were from Oman and fresh) - also recommend to buy the fresh tahini. We went back to the market the next day a friday morning to see the livestock trade, it is a must do, it looked like a catwalk for animals!!! only regret is that i didnt buy more date in Nizwa and that because i am from Australia i wasnt sure whether i could bring back the spices and dried fruits. The were also not many tourists hence i guess why they are so so so sooo friendly (compare to Mutrah souq)

Take time to walk through the falaj area of Birkat Al Mouz to see how the Omanis have managed living in a dry climate. Wander through the streets and get a feel for this beautiful and generous country.
