A great tour of a very good vinery - Diogo is the perfect host - not only talking about Colqares, but is very enthusiastic and informative of winw in Portugal as a whole. The tasting is generous and gives an insight of the different styles they make. A bit expensive at 20 Euros, but still very much recommended.

Casal Sta. Maria

Europe's westernmost vineyard in the region of Colares, Sintra - In between the magnificence of the Atlantic Ocean and the mystery of the Sintra Mountain. A one of a kind history that will change your perspective on life followed by a tasting of a very distinct portfolio of wines. Book your tour and tasting or visit our Wine Shop to get ahold of the Colares D.O.C. wines - coming from pre-phylloxera vineyards. We also organize tailored events according to your needs. Everyone is more than welcome to discover this treasure 30mins away from Lisbon.

What a pleasant and generous tour of Casal Sta.Maria. With our excellent and knowledgeable guide, Joao Ribas, the walk through the vineyards and view to the Atlantic was more than enough to give 5 stars. And then there were the wines. Complex and astounding for such a small family vineyard. Suffice to say I’ve bought quite a lot especially the late harvest (especially unusual for this area). If you want to experience a unique and unspoilt part of Portugal near Lisboa go to Casal Sta. Maria.
