Had a great time on the tour and their tasting room is top notch. I had all 4 of their Saisons and several other tasters...all phenomenal! Probably one of the best breweries in SD. The bartender, C.C., was great and the other staff were laid back and very personable as well.

Besides a tasting room with daily wine tasting, the winery grounds are home to over a dozen unique shops and artisan galleries, The Kitchen Restaurant, as well private event areas for every occasion. the rustic architecture, gardens and antique equipment at the winery also make it a unique trip back in time into California ranch and wine-making history. Please note: Families are welcome! Please, no outside food and beverages and no pets permitted on the winery grounds.
Good wine and great system that lets you get a tasting (which is a generous pour for a tasting) and walk around, then come back for your next tasting. There are lots of shops in the “winery village” that are fun to walk around and visit. Well worth a couple of hours out of a day to visit.

We stopped by the last night in La Jolla. I have had Green Flash beer before so I knew we would be having some good brews. I was impressed by the brewery and it looks like a really cool place to hang out.

We did our own brewery tour and made sure to include AleSmith. We were not disappointed! Cool vibe on the inside with big rollup doors and the outside patio had plenty of shade to enjoy the weather. The food truck, Biersal, was amazing. Perfect pairing for our tasty brews.

Many of their beers work with our pallet. Their Dunkel is outstanding!! Friendly staff, located in cool old Wonder Bread factory within quick walk of the stadium / gas lamp area. Dog-friendly & free games to play as well. Will be going back here again for sure! Note: I would be a bit leery of walking around there after dark but that’s just me.
