Catoctin Creek® Distilling Company was founded by Becky and Scott Harris in 2009 as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County since before Prohibition. We are located in Purcellville, Virginia, in the heart of the Loudoun Valley. Loudoun County, often called D.C.'s Wine Country, is home to more than twenty vineyards and wineries, and it now has a distillery. At Catoctin Creek, we believe in high quality food and spirits. Organic means higher quality: grain and fruit, sourced locally when possible, free of pesticides and chemical additives that would come through in the spirits we produce. Sure, it is more difficult to produce organically, but the results speak for themselves. The Virginia Rye Whisky!
Catoctin Creek Distillery went above and beyond making a memorable experience to celebrate my husband’s birthday while ensuring customer and staff protections during the pandemic. We made a reservation online and had one indoor table waiting for us at a safe distance from other tables. We were able to attend a tour before enjoying a whiskey flight and cocktail flight. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and were very accommodating of our 4.5 month old puppy. Thank you for making such an enjoyable experience! We will definitely be back!

My mom and I were in the area and stopped for a tasting. We both enjoyed all of the wines offered on the tasting menu. We are contemplating joining the wine club. We'll be back soon for sure!

You will absolutely love this winery. The service is wonderful and the winds are deserving of the 2020 governors award so if you’re ever in the western part of Loudoun County this is a must visit. Put it on your bucket list!

Our vineyard was established in 2008 and contains blocks of the vinifera Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and the hybrid Traminette. We continue to expand our vineyard a little each year. We opened our doors to the public in March of 2014 after winning Gold in the Virginia Governor's cup and were selected for the Governor's case for our Chardonnay. Please come sit and drink some wine while you enjoy the view overlooking our vineyard. Ask us about our vines or come out for a walking tour to see what we're growing and what we do. We love to talk about what we love.
My husband and I love wineries and have visited a few on the Loudon trail. Two Twisted Posts is our favorite! The wine is delicious and there are many we both liked, which is rare. Their lighter tasting wines are not sugary so that was appealing and their variety of Chardonnays are delicious. The Cab-Franc is our favorite of the reds. The tasting room is comfortable with friendly people who are happy to answer questions and give you information on the wine-making during your tasting. Also worth noting, wines purchased from Two Twisted Posts are affordable and taste just as amazing, if not better, when we open a bottle at home (can't say the same for Maggie Malick wine which is much pricier). We will definitely be returning to Two Twisted Posts!

This is one my and my husband's favorite breweries in the DMV. Beautiful property and a wide variety of delicious beer. I know it's a little hidden, but you don't want to miss this place!

My friend and I are so happy we visited! It was phenomenal. The views were great. There was plenty of space to sit outside and inside. The beers were great and there was even a variety of hard seltzer’s. They had an extensive food menu inside with great pizza and food trucks to choose from outside. We were there on a Friday night and there was live music. I would highly recommend going!!
