Blend your own Irish Whiskey, draw whiskey straight from our authentic oak cask, learn how Irish whiskey pairs perfectly with farmhouse cheese or artisan chocolate. We will take you on a journey through the wonderful world of Ireland’s native spirit – from its alluring history, production methods and renaissance. 10 Masterclasses Daily!
Really enjoyed the whiskey and chocolate pairing class. Staff were friendly and willing to answer any questions. The whiskeys included were a nice spectrum, pairing them with locally made chocolates was a nice touch. Reasonable priced for what is offered in the class. The only thing I could say that could be improved is the area where it is done is not as private. But I will definitely recommend it to friends visiting Killarney and will be back myself to try even more whiskeys

At Clonakilty Brewing Company, it’s all about The Beer! Visit the newly established Micro-brewery in Clonakilty. Meet head brewer ‘Thirsty Frank’, taste the award-winning beers and learn about the quirky local stories that inspired them.
Visited the brewery while staying with friends a few miles away. The head brewer, Thirsty Frank, showed us round and told us his story of how he started the brewery - a friendly chap with a real passion for good beer and who clearly loves what he does. Then up to the tap room (imaginatively furnished with great upcycled furniture) for some tasting - 5 superb beers were sampled. I've done a number of brewery tours, this is right up there as one of the most enjoyable! We'll definitely be looking out for their beers when we next visit the area. I'd thoroughly recommend both a brewery tour and any of the Clonakilty range of ales.

Spend an hour on an entertaining, fun experience learning all about Mead, the drink of Celtic Ireland’s Kings & Chieftains. Ideally located in the historic and food-loving haven of Kinsale on the Wild Atlantic Way, Kinsale Mead is Ireland’s first meadery in almost 200 years. Using a blend of ancient recipes and modern techniques, Kate and Denis Dempsey have resurrected a love of Mead through their sustainably made, award-winning meads created at their family run meadery. Highlights of a tour at Kinsale Mead Co. include: • Insights into Kinsale Meads: light and refreshing, fermented off dry (12% ABV wine strength) • Myths & Legends: hear stories of ancient legends and the colourful history of mead in Ireland • Bee Judgments: how Ireland’s Bee Laws protected the bees, taste three unique raw honeys • Process: modern mead making from fermentation, throthrough to maturation and bottling • Tasting: sample award-winning meads and cocktails in the Meadery’s oak bar tasting room
We were looking for something to do in Kinsale on our free afternoon and the Tourist Office recommend the Mead Co tour. We really enjoyed the tour and Kate was so informative! We had the chance to try different types of Honey and Mead (all were delicious). If in Kinsale, I would ???? recommend taking the time to visit the Mead Co. In the current environment, everything was really well done in terms of social distancing, hand sanitizers etc..
