The Poconos Farm Market

I truly enjoy visiting this market. The presence of the Amish is what first attracted me to it because I wanted my grandchildren to see and interact with people who have steadfastly held to traditions for centuries. But one visit would have sufficed for that. But what keeps me returning is the quality of the produce as well as the variety. The chicken barbeque is outstanding. Zook's homemade mint tea and root beer are delicious. There is a wide variety of book goods as well as cured meat. Prices are fair. The service is friendly and efficient. It is a delightful place to spend a part of one's day.

We fell in love with Three Hammers the first time we went there. It is such a warm and welcoming location with great people and delicious wine. We live about 2.5 hours away but were planning a wedding at Woodloch which meant we were up in the area a lot. Every trip we made up to the area we made a point of stopping for a glass of wine and to restock with “a few” bottles of wine to hold us over till our next visit. The staff is always very friendly. The owners were always welcoming and very happy to show us around and share their story with us. We ended up falling in love with the property so much that we spoke to Rob and Christine (the owners) about having our first look for our wedding on their property and I am so happy we did. We could not have asked for a better backdrop for our first look. After we finished with our moment, Rob came over to say hi and congratulate us. After so much build up to that moment, I was so happy we were in a relaxing atmosphere and were able to enjoy a nice glass of wine.

We had seen this place advertised on TV and stopped in on the way home from Hershey on Saturday. What a treat! The furnishings and craft and gift items were all beautiful, though pricey. But for mostly handmade Amish items you expect that. The food offerings and market items were delicious and we took some great meats, cheeses, and produce home. We also had fun wandering around the Log Home, wishing we could take it home with us!!

Popular, off the beaten path vineyard. Restaurant with Italian menu. Almost every table orders pizza, which looked good, but we didn't. We enjoyed the cheese plate which included honey, almonds, grapes, Lavash crackers and five different Italian cheeses. I did the sangria tasting in the restaurant, which included 5 flavors of sangria. I also drank a full cup of peach sangria which was one of the sweeter ones and enjoyed eating the fresh peach slices that were included. We were fortunate to visit on a weekend when there was live music. In the afternoon, the musician played on the porch outside the tasting room. In the early evening, the musician performed on the large covered porch of the restaurant. We enjoyed sitting in one of their several gazebos and on various benches throughout the grounds. You are not permitted to bring outside food or beverages onto the grounds. This place is a hidden gem.
