Cartwright Springs is a craft brewery that prides itself on the use of Artisian Spring Water to make it's refreshing brews. The springs can be visited only 15 meters away from the brewery. The tasting room welcomes visitors to sample many different styles of beer including some rare seasonal styles. Tours are very popular because of the lovely location and wealth of information about environment friendly initiatives that were developed at this location. Book well in advance to reserve a spot on a tour or just drop in for a visit to the retail store anytime during regular hours.
My husband and I stopped in. I had a flight of beer and he had “I’d Tap That Pilsner”. (Cute name????) $4 each! All very good. Andre was a great host. Definitely worth the visit.

Kings Mill Cider is a small family-run craft cider producer nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Stirling, Ontario. Our cidery is adjacent the Kings Mill Conservation Area on Squire creek. It's the perfect spot to explore nature, with a gorgeous landscape composed of wetlands, woodlands and farmlands, and the old grist mill called the Kings Mill.

Welcome to Ugly Apple, where we celebrate crisp, refreshing, hard cider, and the ugly apples that go into it. We make our cider by gathering wild apples, pressing and fermenting , and serving. It’s as simple as that.

Crooked Mile Brewery is an amazing micro brewery/shop with hand crafted mostly Brit style beers and ales. A fun little place with ample parking, close proximity to a great fish chip wagon (when last we visited) and a happy atmosphere. Oh and did I forget the beer? Stellar. HIGHLY recommended.

Dairy Distillery is a state-of-the-art micro distillery that transforms unused milk sugar into an incredibly smooth vodka, called Vodkow. The distillery is gorgeous with German made copper stills proudly displayed in the all glass front facade. We offer free tours and samples 7-days a week.
Best Vodka (Vodkow) in the Nation's Capital 775783122 Visited the "Dairy Distillery", a micro distillery, in Almonte, Ontario located at 34 Industrial Drive. Just a short and beautiful drive from Ottawa, Ontario. They make a Vodka from milk called "Vodkow". The company is very environmentally conscious in making their products. As well as Vodkow, they also make hand sanitizers using naturally fermented alcohol. Tours are available at the distillery when possible. More information about their products is found on their website. So if you are looking for an interesting place to visit, I would recommend the Dairy Distillery. After your visit, continue down the road for about a mile and visit the historic and scenic village of Almonte on the Mississippi River. Interesting shops and eateries.

I’ve been coming for years and all my family and guests ask for more. You have to get there early for the best selection, but Bill and his wife Teresa make a lot of tarts and squares, also macaroons and cookies. The butter tarts are worth the goo that runs down my chin, love the coconut and the blueberry and the strawberry rhubarb; heck I love them all! Go to Donald and find out for yourself; tell them I sent you.
