You could spend your whole Chiang Mai vacation exploring the famous Night Bazaar. Once you’ve exhausted the art of the cheerful haggle, however, there’s plenty more to explore. The National Museum and Botanic Garden are great places to soak up some local culture and to breathe in the delicate fragrance of Thai orchids. In the city’s center, the remains of ancient walls embrace over 30 temples. Limber travelers can climb 300 stairs to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, an ornate Buddhist temple in the hills.

A family-run home cooking class established in 2001. We began with a small class size. Even though our business has seen tremendous growth, we have decided that this size maintains the personalization and individual attention that each student deserves. Yui (Siripen Sriyabhaya), Thailand's international TV chef still teaches every dish in every class to guarantee the highest quality of instruction. Her expertise attracts a variety of students such as, TV chefs, executive chefs, culinary school teachers, international Thai cooking instructors, food columnists, cookbook authors, tourists, and food lovers.Yui's unique blend of art and science truly make cooking exciting, fun, and easy to follow. When students cook these delicious dishes in class, they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to be able to recreate these dishes at home.
As someone who works in the tourism industry, I am always very skeptical of any activity with nearly 100% perfect reviews, but this was the real deal! Yui is not just an instructor, she is like a food guru or a food whisperer. We learned about Thai culture, food culture, Yui's very interesting life, and of course how to make very delicious food! Yui is so quirky, she kind of reminds me of Amelie and she is full of fun anecdotes. The pad thai and red curry we made were better than any other that we had in any restaurant and our tour of the market was a great opportunity to see a non-touristy market for once. This was by far our most favorite activity we did in Thailand and we would absolutely do another class with her! Skip the massage, elephant farm, and ziplining, this is the authentic Thai experience that you are looking for!

Came with a Contiki tour group, and we absolutely loved our cooking class experience at this beautiful, serene spot! The chef was hilarious and made things fun & easy for us — literally beginners will he able to come out with delicious food on their plates! We made Tom yum soup, pad Thai (one of the best I’ve ever had!!), chicken panang curry, cashew chicken stir fry, & coconut + mango sticky rice. SO MUCH GOOD FOOD ; highly recommend if you have time during your Thailand visit! :)

What makes Asia Scenic Thai Cooking School superior to other cooking schools: our flair for the artistry of Thai cooking paired with exquisite attention to Thai culture’s captivating details.
My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we’ve been looking forward to this cooking school experience! We did a lot of research amongst the various cooking schools and what we liked about this one was an option of going to the farm to learn about the different ingredients used for the dishes. Indy, our cooking instructor for the day, was very helpful, informative, and funny! She has been teaching for eight years with the company and knows what classical Thai cooking is all about. She answered all of our questions and also added information of common things she gets asked from previous classes. We were picked up from our hotel and checked into the city location for payment. (1200 Baht per person full day at the farm) We then went on a little tour in the market explaining the different products then a 30-35 minute drive to the farm. The farm location was much bigger than the city location! Much roomier and very beautiful!!!! (Plus free WiFi!) We chose the seven dishes we were going to make for the day, took a tour in the garden and learned about the different items for our dishes. You will definitely be stuffed at the end of the day! Due to the coronavirus, we were the only students for the day. It was nice to have a private class for the day that we ended a bit earlier (which we didn’t mind since we were so tired after eating all of the yummy food we made!) Indy, did a little recap of the day and gave us a wonderful cool book of everything she talked about for the day. It is a wonderful memento! Thank you, Indy for such a wonderful experience and it was definitely one of our favorite things to do in Chiang Mai! Thank you Asia Scenic Thai Cooking School for being open during the coronavirus so we can still experience Chiang Mai and Thai cooking! If you’re wondering what kind of cooking school to sign up with, we highly recommend Asia Scenic Thai Cooking school! An unforgettable experience leaving your stomach happy!

Courses at the Thai Orchid Cooking School are based on the philosophy that a meal should be a beautiful thing, made with love and shared with love. The school was started by "A" and her family who have the same dream of sharing their love of Thai cooking with those who desire to learn how to cook delicious Thai food but also to experience the culture and poetry of Thai cuisine.

Each day, our students are picked up from Chiang Mai and driven to the cookery school. On a typical day our lessons begin with a trip to a local country market, guided by our experienced cooking instructors so that students learn how to select and buy the fresh Thai ingredients that they will need for that day's cooking lesson. For many, this tour of the morning market is an unforgettable experience in itself, leaving them with lasting memories of new sights, sounds and wonderful spicy aromas, as well as a broader knowledge of Thai fruits, vegetables and spices. This experience and new knowledge is especially useful to those who want to impress their friends back home with delicious Thai cuisine. Returning to the delightful semi-rural setting of the cookery school itself, our instructors take students through every stage of the cooking process, until at the end of the session students have the opportunity to taste and eat their creations. Our students learn by doing, not merely watching, so each course is full of activity and fun.
My husband and I just spent a fun, educational and inspiring afternoon and evening at this wonderful cooking school. We learned so much! The whole operation is professional from start to finish but the husband-wife team that leads the class is also personable. The class starts with an informative tour through a local market. Then we were taken to the covered outdoor classroom where the instructors demonstrated each dish and then let us each make it. It was some of the best Thai food we have eaten and they send you home with a great cookbook with lots of recipes. I can’t wait to host a Thai dinner party when I get home!

Had such an amazing day in the most beautiful place. Friendly cat, delicious food made with super fresh ingredients and with help on how to recreate it at home and a superb teacher, Kim, who went through everything in loads of detail and made complex dishes seem simple. Overall a fantastic day which I would recommend to everyone!
