Cambridge might be best known for its university, home to some of the world’s greatest minds (Milton, Darwin, Hawking, etc.). But there’s a vibrant theater and arts scene here as well, and you’ll find fantastic contemporary restaurants mixed in with traditional pubs. Climb the tower of Great St. Mary’s Church for sweeping views of the city.

Fun and informative wine tastings and gin tastings. Book in advance online for Saturday courses and evening tastings (link is given next to map). For an ideal present buy a Wine Tasting Gift Experience voucher! We can arrange private parties (birthdays, hen nights, staff socials, team building) to suit your choice of date. Plus we offer WSET wine qualification courses.
I decided to give the WSET level 1 course ago after speaking to Mark at the Cambridge Food festival and I'm glad I did. Although I could have jumped straight to the level 2 course (you don't need level 1 as Mark will point out), I'm glad that I did this day course to get familiar with the basics of wine. I enjoyed the pace of the course and how Mark delivered it. He has a great deal of knowledge and a clear passion for them. There is nothing pretentious or snobbish at all, just a good atmosphere and lots of fun. We got to taste a few wines along the way but importantly, we learnt how to spit the wine out - I’ll save the swallowing of the wine for the evenings! Level 1 does give you a good depth of the basics and in one day I certainly came out far knowledgeable than before. I would recommend this course to anyone who wanted to feel a bit more competent when it comes to wine, it also would make a nice gift. Thanks for the fantastic day and look forward to booking onto level 2!

The De Luca Piano Bar is Cambridge's only authentic Piano Bar. Open every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm, a live singer / pianist Piano Entertainer performs the best pop music from 1950s to the present day and takes requests from the crowd, who are encouraged to sing along. There is an extensive cocktail menu available.
Visited the piano bar with a small group of work colleagues. A great opportunity to really let your hair down. Robin rattles through a wide range of musical genres in response to requests shouted out from the crowd. Fun, friendly atmosphere and superb cocktails served.

Zero food waste Cookery school, Bistro and Café. Terrace facing park and public art. Slow Food, hand made, local, organic and seasonal food Micro bakery offering sour dough, Scandinavia Rye, cinnamon rolls, Croissants, Brioche and cakes. Superb coffee. Dog friendly. Live music on occasion. Wine tastings and meet the producer events.
We spent a happy morning with Jackie and Caroline learning the secrets of successful croissant/brioche/baguette making. Both of them were very generous and helpful and I felt like I'd learnt a lot. The school is also making a big effort to protect its staff and students from the virus. We left with bags of things we had baked which I could smell all the way home. We will definitely sign up for another one next year.

Specialist award-winning food shop, comprising of grocers, deli and butchers. Hosting a regular program of events, including cheese/wine tasting and classes in cookery and butchery.
Have shopped here for special occasions for years. Recently visited and Charles was overseeing the social distancing, he went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed- all the staff were fabulous. The produce is amazing but I especially recommend the butchers. The butcher always has time to talk through recommendations etc so you get exactly what you need. I recommend this place to anyone.

Welcome to the Cambridge Distillery: once the UK’s smallest official gin producers, located in our co-founders’ sitting room – now an internationally-recognised multi-award-winning business, named three consecutive times as the most innovative distillery in the world. Our Distillery was founded when owners William and Lucy Lowe were walking their much-loved labrador, Darcy, in the fields surrounding their home in Cambridge – and decided to establish their own gin distillery, led by innovation and the pursuit of excellence.
My daughter (with 2 month old baby) & I visited the distillery last weekend and had a wonderful experience courtesy of lovely Leah who gave us a superb history of gin - and explanation of the distillery itself. We had a tasting session in very relaxed surroundings and left quite happily with a reasonable quota of gin! Thank you, Leah!

Our botanical cocktails are all designed and created by our passionate team of in-house mixologists, each one including at least one hand crafted element.
Thats my second time visiting Novi and it was again flawless. Favourite spot to sit is by the front window. I enjoyed my coffee and i had a wonderful sweet potato rosti with (a bit spicy) bean salsa and two perfect poached eggs!!! Great venue and i've noticed also new cocktails on the menu so i need to plan a visit in the evening.
