I had the wonderful opportunity to learn how to make beautiful temari sushi today from Megumi. Megumi was very patient and pleasant as she taught me how to make these delightfully delicious works of art. I remembered my class start time incorrectly and was embarrassingly very late; however, Megumi was super accommodating and squeezed me into her schedule despite the fact it was completely my fault. Megumi also helped me coordinate a delay in my kimono rental and rickshaw appointment so I can finish my class and enjoy the temari I made for lunch. She is also very personable. By the time we were done with the class, I felt like a made a wonderful new friend. This day could’ve been disappointing due to my own mistake of forgetting my class start time, but Megumi successfully turned it into one of my most memorable experiences in Japan. Washoku also offers delightfully beautiful dishes on order, and the view from this 5th floor restaurant is absolutely stunning! Thank you Megumi for a fantastic cooking experience! I can’t wait to share what I have learned with family and friends back at home. I highly recommend this class and restaurant!
