Born in the headwaters of Bench Creek in Yellowhead County, Alberta, this brewery was built by family and friends smack dab in the middle of Alberta’s backyard. We are immersed in the untamed majesty and the harsh realities of the wild that make this province special. That’s why we push our techniques and recipes constantly – why we experiment as if our lives depend on it. Our goal is to balance premium ingredients perfectly in every glass, growler, can, cask, or keg we fill. Only then do we rest knowing these distinctive beers will be worth discovering over and over again. With all that in mind, we invite you to try our beers wherever you find them to get a taste of our unique approach. If you’re a more adventurous sort, come by the brewery in Yellowhead County to see the place and the process for yourself.

Had the opportunity to go on a tour of this facility and we were thoroughly impressed. Fantastic beers and a great facility. The Brewer provided the tour and the storey of the beer scene in Medicine Hat and he displays the knowledge and passion needed to make excellent beer. We will always make a stop at this brewery. They do things right.

Wild Life Distillery is a craft distillery situated in Canmore, Alberta. Our spirits are produced, distilled and bottled on site from Albertan prairie grains. The distillery offers delicious craft cocktails, tastings, and bottle sales. Open daily, no appointments needed. Come and visit!
We didnt actually get a chance to visit the Distillery itself but had the chance to buy some of their liquid courage at a local liquor store, in Downtown Canmore. Its our hands down new favorite Gin. My Wife is more of the Gin drinker, but I love a good Gin martini every now and then. This stuff is putting big names to shame. I wont name other Gins because I believe Wildlife is killing the game. However, I will say they have some strong competition with Park Distillery in Banff... ;) We crushed a bottle of their Wildlife Gin while visiting last week and got a bottle of their Barrel Aged Gin to take home back to Arizona. We haven't opened that yet but are super excited to taste.

We are the only Brewery/Malt house/Taproom in Canada. We bring the farmer forward by explaining the process of Farm to Glass by taking malting barley from our family farm, malting it in our malting facility, and then brewing it into delicious brews for sale in our taproom
