Local raw atmosphere, mixing with the local people in a huge crowded, chaotic, colorful, wall to wall bodies, eclectic market buying fruits, vegetables, fish, and incredible Venezuelan empanadas! Enjoy - you will not regret. We went on a Saturday around 11AM - 1PM - late summer. Fabulous. Highlight of trip! Won't see many tourists here!!!!!!!!

This market has a great location--really close to the Santa Lucia metro station. The selection was great; I'd recommend taking time to explore all of the stalls if you have time. A lot of the stalls have similar items (e.g., magnets, mugs, etc.), but this means that you can really search for the best one for you. Additionally, there are some other stalls that are more unique so keep looking! I imagine that there's something for everyone.
