Colorful Phuket is a mélange of lifestyles, a place where tranquil monks navigate the same streets as pumped up nightclubbers. The ornate temples and lively cafes of Old Town are prime spots for exploration. Check out the Shrine of the Serene Light and the aromatic Nguan Choon Tong herb shop. Browse and bargain for pretty trinkets at the nearby Thai Amulet Market. Don’t miss an opportunity to take in a performance at the epic Siam Niramit Phuket theater, a true cultural extravaganza.

Sundays are lively affair along Phuket Town's Thalang Road, where the island's famous Walking Street (locally called Lard Yai) hosts 30+ stalls selling local fare and handicraft products.
We had a great Sunday night wander up and down sampling loads of different street food options. It had rained during the day but fined up in the late afternoon so we took the chance it would still be on and I am so glad we did! There was some great opportunities to stop and watch some street performers and when it got a bit crowded (as it got later) there were street side cafes to escape into to sit down a bit removed form the hustle and bustle whilst still able to people watch. My tip would be to go early before it gets too hectic - we went in low season and that was busy enough for me!

The hip Chillva Night Market is a reflection of Phuket's bohemian lifestyle and fondness for airy modern aesthetics. Here, shoppers seeking trendy products rub elbows with folks coming for a night out.
We’re visiting Phuket on our honeymoon & were determined to hit a night market during our stay in Phuket. Chillva was a beautiful, authentic experience with enough variety to be enjoyable but not enough to be overwhelming! The atmosphere is super chilled out & the street food stalls were delish & super affordable. We brought a few scarves for gifts & a pair of shoes & watch & LOTS of different food & drink. All up we spent less than $50 including our taxi there. A hotspot for locals more so than tourists which is always my guide to a great place! Definitely recommend it for a fun, relaxed night out!
