We love the Hakodate Asaichi Morning Market that has approximately 250 stores selling souvenirs, vegetables, fruits and seafood. The most exciting part of the Hakodate Morning Market is the Squid Fishing experience. The chef will take your catch and prepare squid sashimi. Japanese fish market is a must visit point ! the Sankaku market sits right next to the main train station, and offers excellent choice of fresh seafood. I love it !!! The size of the restaurants and the market is very narrow. it is not recommend to bring your carry on / luggage to go in.

We had our first meal here in Hokkaido. The eatery is located near the entrance of the Yoichi Nikka Distillery (not the carpark). It is on the second floor, there is parking available next to it. There is also a liquor and grocery store on the first level. In the restaurant, there are display of the available food. Choose your food and make payment. Free seating, and wait for your order number to be called. The grilled fish was very tasty and inexpensive.
